Just get some mdf and make up a false floor, will make it easier to take it in and out. If you're screwing directly onto the boot remember to give it a bit of paint to stop it rusting.

Same thing happened to me the other day, engine ran a bit rough and wouldn't go above 40. Started it up again the next day and it's running fine :S Due a service anyway so will get the codes read whilst it's in.
