Just got my coils mounted and according to GAZ the adjuster knobs affects both bump and rebound.
If changing the springs to harder spec am I gonna have to send the shocks to gas to re-seal them?
Chances of them leaking will decrease if I keep them at a softer setting?
would be tricky If I had...
I keep doin' this with no success whatsoever lol
now this is something that It's gonna happen :))
I quite like the offset the ultras give, even if they were available in 45 offset I'd still keep them
I'm gonna have some 2118's one day this year hopefully. given the situation I'll probably...
Is there any cure to the rear arch scrubbing?
I've seen loads of clios lowered more than mine is atm so any suggestions on solving this?
p.s: this happened with 4 people inside the car, 2 of them being over the 100 kg mark
Fittet my coilovers today and did the bumper bracket too.
I've searched to find some pics of this mod, been told that many people just bend it out of the way but I never found some actual pics
Anyway, for those interested here's how I did it
removed the arch liner and twisted the bracket so it...
the real advantage is that they won't alter suspension geometry while cornering and are pretty much bullet proof. But yes, a rear ARB will make make a noticeable change in the car's behaviour. I'd still get the top mounts at some point. A good allround suspension setup isn't complete without...
mine squeal when hot but then again, they're a track pad so it's almost normal.
I binned the shims and filed them down though. Is there other "trick" in making them quiet? :D
Was thinking and it just made sense how the toe changes with adding camber. Doesn't matter if you add it by using bolts or anything else. Easy to understand if you draw a sketch of the joints in the suspension and try and figure out what happens.
Hope this thread will answer some questions for...

and according to post#9 adding camber gives toe in. This is what happened to mine when I added camber via camber bolts
So basically there are 2 ways of adding camber:
1. by lowering- in...
will do ;) Glad to hear someone actually happy with gaz. My only concern is that I live quite far from Gaz themselves and a warranty claim would give me some headache but I hope for the best.
After all I was lucky with my milltek LOL
gaz coilies on their way so I'm researching (yes I know they're not well seen here but I wanted the damping adjustment ;) )
I think a better question will be: If lowering what happens with the toe settings? it goes out or in? this would be helpful to know :D
I know that when I fitted the camber bolts I had to do the tracking after. So you get some coilies, set them 30 mm lower for road use, do the tracking; then you go to a track day, get them an extra 30 mm lower, do the tracking and then you do it once more after returning to the road setup? this...
... I will always have to do the tracking after that? I am more concerned about the toe in/out values
Do they change after messing with the ride height?
the car is on it's wheels for some time, we'll do a separate thread in the clio projects area but for now a little teaser..

no there isn't
The car feels soooo much nicer without the creaky clutch :( Driven mine 5 years like that without bothering too much but now somehow it really bugs me
greased the nut-fork joint couple of days ago and also tried to reach the fork-release bearing area with some degree of success and it was good for 2-3 days. Obviously in my case it's not a clutch cable issue.
I'm thinkin if there's a way of re-designing those contact areas or modifying them...
I am sick of this annoying issue and I'm curious just how many people have it. maybe this is not such a popular problem after all. I'm thinkin if there is some 1*2 with 100k on the clock with no creaky clutch then maybe there is a catch and the unlucky ones could sort it out somehow..
I'll...
