LOL... I would like mine to be in perfect nick on the day, but I think it somewhat spoils your day if you keep having to go back to your car to check over it and get the detailing supplies out. Once im there, id rather enjoy the show (what little there is to enjoy ;) ). Im sure the missus would...
Thats the other thing that puts me off. The general public touching the car. The paintwork isnt in the best condition anyway, but I dont want aload of pikeys making it worse.
Last year, me and the missus got there early on the Saturday. Left by lunchtime, as we got bored, so I dont want to have...
I thought it said in the form that you have to stay until 6pm? (arrive between 8-9am). Thats a long time to stay at a s**t show if im honest.
If I can leave any time, then ill apply aswell. Saves me walking an extra 100m ;)
Beat me to it. 3/4 plate etc...
Looks good mate (rather have the Clio though :rasp:). Also interested to hear any plans for it?! Whacking it on track?
Oh and you'll have to take me for a spin next Sunday :p
Anyone on later?
Ive had a nice roid-free period, so its time that I get back on and have a session tonight with you lot. (not having a late one though. gotta be up at 5am for work :S)
I do have to agree with Gally on this.
New thread: "Clio finished!!!"
Week later: "Clio brok't"
Few weeks on: "Clio for sale"
Ive noticed this quite a few times. IMO it does seem a bit of a waste of cash, just for that extra power. Id rather spend it on a few mods, like exhaust coilovers etc...
Some great pics dude. Love the 2nd to last one.
I want to get a new lens at some point (rolling with a boggo 18-70mm I think it is) and start to get into sports photography.
Got a lotta love for Flamers. Turinis though. Baaah. I prefer them on the standard 172 alloys. Still a very nice car and in the best colour for 172's.
Needs some lowzz and 3/4 front plate though ;)
I like my standards. I think the only way ill get Speedlines is for use as track wheels, which I will end up spraying red.
I need to wait until I have money again though ;) (also on the list is some lowzz and an exhaust system).
Im trying to restrain myself from spending too much on this car.
Admiral are always by far the cheapest for me also.
This year the 200 cost £800. Closest competitor (minus Elephant) was around £950.
Last year the 172 cost £1150. Closest competitor was around £1800.
Kinda. Its only casual work atm though, so im still classing myself as a jobless bummer. There's a contract in the pipeline for me though, so fingers crossed, that'll come up trumps very soon!
Re: Krispy Kremes 17th July
Ill come along if Daveski fancies it and is willing to drive down ;) (hint hint) :rasp: .
I need to see what all the fuss is about with these Krispy Kreme places.
EDIT: Just seen that Clio197.net have a meet there aswell, on Sunday 10th at 3pm.
Some good photos are starting to emerge. Was a really good meet. Ill have to start coming to the Yorkshire meets ;)
Shame that I couldn't be bothered to take my own lot of photos lol.
I look forward to seeing the video that you were doing.
