first number is the viscosity at 0degC, the lower the number the thinner it is, so a 0w is thinner than a 5W - so if you live in northern sweden you'd run a 0W40 (may a 0W30 if its REALLY cold) second number is viscosity at 100degC 40 is the same as a 40 ;) a 50 is thicker, 30 is thinner - if...
