i was on BT top package which was 40 gig a month limit, i went over once by 4 gig and they emailed me saying they would charge if it happens again etc.
now moved to SKY broadband, and on an "upto 16 meg" line we got a good constant 10 meg on the main PC. its only £10 a month too but i think you...
damn i impress myself sometimes. now just to find the proper cables for this box and whether its gonna be through the ceiling job or outside up the wall hmm
would it work if i extended all the wires from my main phone socket upstairs, plugged the upstairs computer straight into the router via ethernet and ran the pc downstairs on wireless?
dunno what you mean have the wire in all the time? you mean the cable that would connect them both?
got a link to further details on hub/switch so i can read up
aint messed with any settings, only had it plugged in last week, literally ssid and network key, that was it. ideas on how to make the pc upstairs the same speed as pc downstairs? isit possible to connect the 2 pc's with a cable other than wireless or can i improve my speed somehow
that says 10 meg, so must be right then that its the wireless.
can certain wireless hardware only carry so much info? as i say the signal is good and the pc has been upstairs and downstairs with the same signal
see, that aint right for an upto 16mb line surely, my upload is nearly bigger than my download :S
ill go do the same test on the pc downstairs and post them results so you can compare signal brb

the signal is near perfect, ive had the pc downstairs next to it and i still get 1 meg.
also the computer downstairs which plus straight into the router via ethernet is getting 1mb also, surely it would only be the computer upstairs that would have downtime if it was signal issue?
Been on SKY broadband for a few days now and its been absolutely piss poor. its supposed to be upto 16meg, ive managed around 60k downloading files top (around 512 speed).
Also every night after 11 or so the internet drops completely and i struggle to stay online. Should i phone sky and ask what...
if theyre bonded on with sikaflex you aint getting them off without scratching f**k out of the paintwork. they have to be physically ripped off, or a stanly blade stuck down the back and sliced off

ok bought a tv off ebay in october or so, after a few days the picture was flickersing from a green type film and back to normal, we put this down to one of our scart cables that we knew was dodgy, we intended to replace them when we got sky tv after christmas so we put up with it.
start of...
you could just bend it back very easily if no paint has cracked. would mean no repair bills, no paint bills etc and youd just be left with a slight mark that you know is there. seen loads n loads of break ins like this, the windows never break either, somethin manufactureres need to look at tbh...
ok im gonna be gettin new headphones, ideally ide like a cordless headset (with mic) but i dont think you can get them?
besides from this anyone got any good recommendations? my last pair of headfones were Creatives, they was fine for about an hour or so, after that they were tight n gave me...
im just going in general on splitters as i dunno what the laguna one is like.
if its too long then obvoisly cut it bang in the centre , take some out and rejoin it. if the corners need bending in then cut out couple of triangles each corner on the inside to allow it to bend even more, then i...
