Check the balljoint, but not the joint itself, the two bolts that join it to lower arm, mine managed to work loose, and caused a knock upon acceleration which eventually got worse.
Oh and it's not just Daniel, I've never seen that under your SN before.
Hello mate and welcome to the club.
I had a mk2 ph1 non sport before getting my 172, here's a few pics of what I did to it and a rough list:
Shoter aerial
Sport interior (seats and door cards)
Ph2 rear lights
Dual optic front lights
Fog lights fitted
Ph2 rear bumper
Ph2 "dyanmique" spoiler...
Quiet is lovely, trust me, I've done 950 miles in a LOUD clio, and just got back from 715 miles in a pretty quiet one, is bloody lovely. Induction noise is way better than exhaust drone, and can be only upon demand!
Oh and Rollo, classy ;)
I don't know if the non sport ones fit, but they should as the bumpers are such a similar shape. If not I'm sure you could make them fit with a knife and some patience. If you don't fit them, the bumper is tres wobbly.
Re: No Compromise ph1 ITB build (Fastcar, BTM, TDF, RS Fab) - ITB update p77
You're nuts mate, just don't sell too much and regret it. Oh an get some pics sorted ;-)
Re: Trophy #433
Seriously awesome seats Dave! Gentlemens choice.
As said, give me a shout when you want to start ripping it apart, I'll definately swing by, I'll even dispose of parts for you ;-) (in exchange for some silver)
We'll probably have a gander around the cars at some point, have a drink, chat, whatever really.
Meets like this are quite social and chilled out, other day time meets are a lot more about looking at the cars, going for a drive, whatever.
7:30's too late? What are you, 90? Get 'yo ass down here! (I still am yet to see your mk1).
Ok, so far we have....
1. Sash
2. TEG
3. danny172 (I'm assuming he's coming as he lives with the above 2)
4. Rob (That's me)
5. Smitchell1
6. WILLIE
7. lrj (Always room for a newbie) :)
8. Scary...
Like a humming, Will. Which increases with speed. You can easily tell its not the exhaust by disengaging the clutch and seeing if its still there. Also, swerving from side to side a bit indicates which side is fecked.
