Do you need an oil filter tool?

TY. That's what I assumed, just didn't wanna go cocking it up by being to stubborn to ask for help.

    Central Locking

Spam bot much??? A very subtle one mind. A question, why the f**k do you need to lock/unlock your car from 20m away? Have you got really long arms?

    Wobbly speedo?

Ask them to PX that Mazda?
  4. Rob

    It Lives!!

Ah, good to hear, hope it didn't cost you too much to get sorted :) Take it easy at first and enjoy it.

    Clio 16v Mk1 1993 Megane 225 Powered

Another brilliant project. These mk1 projects or just generally insane one's are some of the best reads on this forum IMO.

    100% complete 172RWD! - updated

I remember the day you started this project, once finished I think you should go through and create a comment-less version for us to read from start to finish. Hopefully this'll be on the road by the spring next year, get a good springs/summers use out of it.

Fitted dynamique spoiler and colour coded mirrors :)

Hoover the f**king thing then! lol! There's nothing like a real full on clean to make a car feel like yours, really give it a going over, inside and out.

    undecided on coilovers

I have FK Silverline's on mine, which are just basically stainless konig sports I believe, I like them, and they go low enough, as far as I'm aware, GAZ are more of a budget make?

Do you need an oil filter tool?

Proper, full on, n00b question, change the filter before or after changing the oil? Or whilst it's empty? I can honestly say I've never bothered to change one myself before.

    Wobbly speedo?

FLOL! He's buying cables worth more than he'd be willing to spend on body panels! Poor sod, get it sorted though Dan, it feels good when you fix the little things.

    Look, Alloy foot rest.

Starchip software upgrade? Wrong link I think mate.
  13. Rob

    Wobbly speedo?

I've seen a lot of mk1 dashes do this, but never a mk2. Mk2 clocks? There may be something you can adjust to stop the wobble, but I've never seen it on here.

Fitted dynamique spoiler and colour coded mirrors :)

Fogs, black, badges, silver, please. It'll make the car looks so much better and more classy, you won't regret it in 6 months like you will these. Looks like you've done a good job with the mirrors, have a crack at the spoiler next if you fancy, will look good.

    My Trax Pics

This thread makes me sad I didn't come/camp, I loved it at FCS, should have done it again! Good pics mate.
  17. Rob

    Thanks Guys.

Seems I should have come to this, it sounds a bit more sociable than FCS, I felt like aside from the few that were in the tent, who I introduced myself to, and a few local members, there wasn't actually any members, just car's everywhere. Oh and theduck of course.
  18. Rob

    My custom ally foot rest.

Don't lacquer it! Leave it exactly as it is and let it wear away like the pedals :) Either that or just polish the pedals up :)

    Remove rear seats

Doesn't even do that, it's a cover for the iso fix bar, which can be removed unless you want to fit a baby seat?

    The ClioSport stare...

You can generally tell the type of person who'd be a member, those get a nod/wave, the others don't.

Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project [Year 3 - Engine and Chassis Rebuild]

Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project I swear you've got holes drilled all the way down the a pillar? Or is that part of a cage? MOT in the post much? ;)

    removing PH1 rear bumper

As the man above says really... The four along the bootlid are torx25 bits I believe, then you've got 13mm (iirc) bolts in the arch liners, and two more directly under the car, think that's your lot. The guide is the same as the ph2 bumper mate if that's easier to find.

Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project [Year 3 - Engine and Chassis Rebuild]

Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project I'd love to see his MOT advisories... "rear seats missing" "rear seatbelts missing" "random holes in chasis" Love this Jord, the amount of effort you put in, but most importantly, the fact you bother to tell us all about most of it :)
  25. Rob

    F.A.O Mechanics or PH1 geeks

    Yes, yes I do. :)

    The daily runner

I'm still sour about those alloys :( The car does looking amazing though.

Mazda V6, £50 start, no reserve!

Just make him a cash offer, he loves cash.
  28. Rob

Is the electric speedo drive from a ph1 removable? so i can a cable?

Look at Daniels recent thread on the speedo sensor mate, I think Jord may have answered your questions.
