make sure you have a warranty on the work, it just sounds like the guy is a bit lacking in his renault knowledge

the 2 idlers both have a spacer, the upper 1 is short, the lower one is longer, he could mix them up, but i highly doubt he'd be that stupid

your tensioner was 180 degrees off and the belt was flapping around that much it had rubbed the case, so i retract my comment LOL!

what make was the cambelt kit? its not possible for the idler to rub the plastic casing unless you put the spacers the wrong way round as Danny says, but i find that incredibly unlikley i assume he has the pulley locking tool from renault? to be honest it sounds like a load of tosh to...
