If you knew your facts the EVO 8 already has a 3 point strut brace fitted as standard. The cusco which is nice is just a bit lighter and looks better. Cusco dont do one for the 172...
Not being an EVO owner and probably never will i appreciate you wouldnt have known that.
Again jumped in...
LOL - whats your point ?
My main point in this thread is clear and proven - You make bullshit comments and carnt back them up.
All points you have made to me have been answered with facts - no bullshit.
These arent the droids your looking for - move along.......
Yes not an EVO owner at the minute and never said i was ( had one for 4 years ) so been there done that. Even posted that it got pinched. Doh
Audi is a company car (and a nice one at that) the cup as a second car for the GF's.
Life about priorities and we all know yours..LOL
Dont waste your money just get Supercharged CTR engine or a mitsi EVO engine (maybe it will take a real engineer to find a transmission solution)...
More hp potential and reliability for the money....
Brembo or std disc from GSF 60 quid
DS2500 pads 72+vat at DT
So under 150 for the best road set up
Std rear disc inc bearing 140 (i think) from GSF
DS2500 rear pads 44+ vat
Under 190..
If they are fitted prices then not bad really for a dealer.
Well done as you have succeeded - it does look s**t.
EVO 6 for 10k with change - wont be a good one.
PMSL at 10k on engine car and only 360bhp....! An EVO with a new ECU you get more than that......Maybe you should have bought o Mitsi engine.
After investing all that money and a lot...
All forus get protective i guess but the facts are ref (dans dads comments i think).
With the same driver..
Old ASTRA would get murdered by the mentioned CTR / 182 etc..
Old modded ASTRA would get murdered by a modded CTR / 182 etc..
I personally havent mentioned the R5 as a classic...
The question is people have reported problems with the B&M.
Are the same problems with the BB one ??
Answer this then i think people can make a decision..
COME ON YOU BB KNOB OWNERS..>!
For the racers the body with the cage etc is very stiff already so little chassis flex. This struct brace in the pic is to try and keep the suspension geometry as stable as possible under load (corner and braking etc).
A std Astra GTE or GSI 16v would get murdered round the track compared to a std CTR or 182cup. The STIG would be needed to validate this, i will ask when he comes round for a mice pie. For cost of mods the Honda has by far the greater tuning potential.
Yes you can mod the astra but you can...
I drove the 3rd car from the production line straight to the airport. Garrett bought it to ship to the States with loads of other brand new turbo cars to do some PR work for turbochargers in the states.
Have to say was very very good to drive but was a bit tight. Handled and braked very well.
With and exhaust (with decat) and IK you can re-map it to 270.
I know as i lead the Garrett Team that supplied the Turbo, we worked with prodrive for the installation.
Smell will be the resin on the pads this will go when its burt off.
Scraping will be due to all new discs and pads and there is not much clearance.
If the brakes are working fine then all should be well.
