I had a crack and succeeded, cheers to all for the advise, I find working on cars is a lot easier if you've got a mate or two to help, even if they know FA, its just a lot of effort doing it on your own!!! Waiting on the mount/cover from DannyR now and it'll be back to good working order...

Re: Flame Red DCI 80 Sport Rep Didn't mean to sound like I was insulting you, I thought you may have got the paint code for flame red that's all. Hopefully a bit of machine polishing will fix it right up. I'm quite suprised its the same colour really, as pretty much all the sport colours...

Well mine is currently on stands out in the front garden, with the engine on the jack until my engine mount arrives. So unless I get some big bits of wood I have no idea how I'll get it down, LOL!!!

You didn't drive it with the buggered "just a cambelt cover" did ya?? Because your symptons were the same as mine... i.e driving along, hit basically nothing, serious bang/clunk, engine nearly died but saved it just, my last bolt was all that kept it going I think.

Skoda splitter can be cut with scissors, easiest job in the world, and a great size, IMO. Sportlines is a damn good shout.

Needs the speedlines IMO, they look a much nicer car with them on. Apart from that I like the red, a lot.
