Why hello....
I bought my car with a BMC CDA on it, and had never driven another 172, the car felt very fast etc, but when I changed to the v6 airbox setup, the difference was very noticeable, my exhaust is so loud I could hear no difference between the two kits tbh, so I was pretty confident...
How funny you should say that, I was considering luminous green RS writing as I was doing it and someone has just put up a link to a full set of hoses for the 1*2, but they don't come in green (yet), it'd be a good way to spend 150 though IMO. lol!
You can hide the amp anywhere, just means running a bit more cable if you want it out of the boot, an easy place to put it is on the sidewall of the boot, I used a bit of laminate floor, bolted that to the side of the boot and then screwed the amp to that.
Amps are only tiny, and won't...
6x9's on a stealth shelf with a small amp in the boot to run them? I've recently added my 6x9's to the Clio, the difference in bass is unreal, takes up barley any boot space, and is realtively cheap :)
If its standard you could probably just pick up a spare cheap enough on here. If not most good wheel places would match it up as best as possible for around £50
TBH, I'd say you assume wrong, Renualt paint isn't exactly known for its durability.
There is an easy way to check for sure, whip a wheel off, and measure the bolt spacing on the suspension IIRC, cup packs are different to normal.
Git, I very nearly had two wins, damn your last half strike!
Good to meet you properly this time round.
Non sports all decided to evaporate, Mike broke down, Ben was skint, EvilGiraffe was ill, but not a bad turn out tbh :)
Shame you couldn't make it Ell
Ah cool, cheers Mike, I was just going to have a go myself, but I'd prefer having someone there who's done it before.
What have you actually done to it then?
Cheers.
Could be a lot worse Mike, you're lucky you can do so much yourself/at work, whats the actual damage?
I really need to sort out my sticking caliper next, its squealing like a b**ch!
Re: iPhone 4G (No longer rumours)
In my completely un-knowing, and probably wrong opinion:
I think this could just be a "test body", a very bland case which is big enough to hold all of the hardware necessary for the new model, but has not yet been styled, allowing the phone to be fully tested...
The sand paper leaves you with a smooth-ish finish, but due to it being sanded, its keyed so the paint sticks, it doesnt matter if it feels totally smooth to touch, I sanded it with what looks to be somewhere around a 500 grit, but its a guess, as its just down as "medium" on the halfords sponge...
Yes indeed that is it, and yes indeed it has a heat shield, easy to remove, twist and pull, if you twist pull, clean and re-fit, and it works for min, then you'll just need to get another, I always found when mine was fubar'd it'd still work if you took it out for a bit and cleaned it etc.
Re: iPhone 4G (No longer rumours)
I'm unsure what to think tbh.... I don't like how that looks, but I don't believe it to be final either, I think they'll be serveral tweaks before production, so I'll be having it :)
