My mate said that the seats in his trophy have started to wear a bit where the seatbelt goes over them. I've not seen it though.

Try your local stelaers, see if they can order one in for you. Other than that, as mentioned eBay - but search in the EU too, one seller ' Mcpilou ' (without the 's) often has has some nice/rare modsels in, he's based in France..

^ They were pretty bad mate. I remember back in about 1992 when autocar tested the valver against the rs1800 - valver was a lot lot better. If we were only sticking to fords i'd make the same choice as you.

If the cars standard with the sticker etc then it looks crap. If the cars modded up (lowered, different seats, cage etc) and looks like it goes round a track a lot then I think it pulls it off.

Xr2i's were never any good when they were new & the seats in them are some of the most un-supporting seats ever !

91k is a lot tbh. I'd not even go and look at it. I know that if cars are looked after they go one for ages, but unless it's silly cheap (which it isn't) i'd not be tempted at all. Also, if you can sell your car privately, do that.

The fact that it says KIA on it put me off straight away (even without seeing it) I realise it's probably a very good car, I just can't get my head around the KIA name.

R33C3 - i'm glad you've seen the light over that modded up dealer special. I can't stress how much I hate the things (I know it's each to their own etc though) I'd go with waiting a year too tbh, or in the mean time get another car, then get your 2.0 clio :)

I paid about £30 for a set of brand spankers off ebay. They are black 172 mk2 ones (they were not for me)

I'm not overly keen on them (I never have been) I'd much rather have an R26 in black or LY & mod it. Sure I know what the R26R is designed for, but as mentioned there's better track 'orientated' cars out there imo.

Yeah I clocked the mk2 wheels. Some of them came with the mk2 boot, mine has it (May 02 car) some 52 plate cars still have the mk1 boot though (I think they fitted on whatever they had around)

If you got an exclusive & didn't like the seats, you could always change them for the regular 'ph-guff' interior version. Then swap them back when you come to sell it.
