I got suckered into an iPod due to having iTunes (which is a great piece of software). I then invested in a new car HU, with a digital iPod link, so stuck there too.
Would get a Creative or Sony mp3 player if not. Sony products have all been excellent from the ones I have owned. Now have a...
I had a thread about iPods and their constant unreliability last week.... mine has been terrible, and the fact that they have a MASSIVE Support section on their website FULL of people with problems just speaks volumes. I don't know any other manufacturer that has this.
As a "premium" MP3...
Agreed, how many PC threads are there now?!? (loads started by me probably!)
Probably stick the guide that 182 Blue made as that is very helpful, then copy in some stuff about which pads and polishes to use and any general advice.
Or people could use the Search function....;)
Yeh, well it takes me most the day just for a clay, hand polish seal and wax so a full machine polish will obviously take longer as its more extensive. I'm not doing it for the money but in the summer looking to make some...
I have been into detailing though since I got a valeting job part...
That's the thing, at a dealer you are under pressure to do as many cars as you can, and don't have the extra time it takes for the fine details. Also the quality of products they use are poor - AG at best but from my experience very few dealers use these as every penny counts and profits are the...
The new Wheel Guard is a lot better than the rim wax I found... both in terms of looks and durability.
SRP, WG then ollowed up with Collinite 476s works a charm!
Right looks like MORE to spend. My dad just replaced his old Boxster which was a 51 plate in black and was looking forward to doing that. Got the 172 and Golf to do on my drive though and got a few others lined up to do over the summer as haven't done any private work since Christmas.
Out of...
Yeh I know, I have been very slack and just haven't had the money to fork out in one go until now. Comes with a complete set of pads but have been recommended to get a set of 4" ones too. Will I also need another backing plate for this size pad do you know? Presuming I do.
Apparently the...
After *****ing around for months, finally just ordered:
http://www.autopia-carcare.com/son-sfxpol-kit.html
Now just got to buy transofmer, plug, extension, some more pads and some other polishes. Thinking of getting the Menzerna sample set from SP. My old man is getting some panels from the...
That's why it is annoying though, I have taken great care of it and followed the instructions to the word, I just expect more of a "premium" product and just not a satisfying customer experience at all. If it worked it would be great!
Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
Tried this like a million times and no luck unfortunately.
Benje, anywehere you know of that you would recommend? I'm in the SE? I grudge paying to have something fixed that I haven't broken though...
I just got the new MASSIVE mf drying towel from Car Wash N Wax and its excellent, much better than the waffle weave I would say. Dry the whole car in a few minutes and no chance of scratching at all.
Seriously though it is bigger than my bath towel! Try it...
I have the iPod with colour screen (the one before the iPod Video) and it has always been very delicate. Now it won't turn on at all. I have followed all the instructions to the word. Ifthe battery has gone like some people have suggested, then I am appauled as I have barely used the thing since...
My car had a wheel resprayed before I bought it and the laquer seems to have worn down over time, it is no longer glossy like it should be so considering getting it resprayed properly again.
I spoke to Renault Customer Services and, despite my clear and cool arguments why I should not have to pay £300 to replace my exhaust system on a car just outside it's warranty, the woman I spoke to was very unhelpfull and even became sarcastic on the phone. I then complained about this using...
Lovely car mate. Even when I can get any car from the range, I would still opt for the E46 Coupe, although the new E92 is lovely with the M kit (not to mention the new M3...mmm).
But, back on subject, bloody good work fella. Just got back from holiday so ordering my PC (at LOOOONG last) this...
I use that stuff (assuming what you are referring to is the same as I am thinking of) to apply products to my wheels. Don't use it on my paint although should be ok.
Go for some proper applicator pads, either foam or microfibre ones.
Slightly less clean now as I had to dirve 60 odd miles home last night but still looking good. In a car park full of brand new BMWs the Clio still stands out! In my opinion.... ;)
No just can't quite get the clarity of the real focuses on the paint itself as quite a lot of glare... they look ok though. Better than the last lot anyway!
Will get them up when I can...
Is that an SLR? Think these sorts of shots must be the limitations of using a poncy mirco camera! I'm a sucker for good compact design, hence the Clio I guess!
Yeh car is glowing in the sun now, looks awesome.
Just been outside for a few hours... washed using CG Extreme Shampoo, then followed with EZ Glaze II, Body Blitz Spray Sealant and a couple of coats of 50/50 wax...... never seen the flake of the paint stand out so well. The gloss finish is outstanding too. I found the EZ Glaze very easy to use...
For ease of use, cost, durability and looks I would go for SRP, EGP then CG 50/50 wax.
From there you can look into different products but that's a very good place to start.
lol I think the towel is as big as a bath towel though... and much softer too!
I really must use up some older product though got so many half finished potions and lotions!
SRP = Super Resin Polish.
I use SRP, CG Wheel Guard (MUCH better than the old Rim Wax) and then can top of with Collinite's 476s...
As long as you get some protection on them will make them much easier to clean in the future.
