Yeh can't imagine I will need to PC very often, mine hasn't been done since... well ever (just over 3 years now) and looks mint, considering its done 33k miles (a couple of minor chips but no scratches or alloy marks), my previous car never had it done either. But, I am looking forward to...
I now realise this and see the error of my ways.
Think I am going for a 4" backing plate, a set of 4" pads, Menzerna sample set and maybe treat myself to a new mf cloth.
I am a little apprehensive of starting now.... just thinking of what a long day it will be. Think I might just do the...
Sorry to correct you but its the other way round... strong £ and weak $.
Mine came to £119 with the pads, cd, and free polish...all delivered and no import tax. Very good deal IMO.:D
Lusty do you have a photo of your car, I've never seen it?
Yes we are obviously three of the coolest people on this forum. Which probably isn't saying a great deal!! ;)
I think there should be a competition for worst condition car that is still road legal. My mates OLD Omega in some horrible green colour would be in contention. I went in it the other day and there was a McDonalds burger just sitting on the seat (no packaging) that had been there for 2 weeks...
Right... ok well might give the car a light SRP by hand after machine polishing it then, think I might leave the glaze and go straight to Jeffs (couple of coats) and then to 50/50.
That will give my arms a very good workout!!!
Bring back Cusco Kid, he added some arguments that this forum is...
Would the SRP be needed even after the final finish polish then? Otherwise might order the Blackfire sealant as thats meant to be really good, or could go back to the old EGP.... which option would you go with? Ta.
The Butter Wet Wax pro votes have gone quiet today, and disappointingly no...
Yeh, mine is stored outside so think I will stick with the sealant. Think I am going to go with:
Menzerna polishes (not sure which ones yet I will use, going to test as I will be ordering the sample set)
EZ Glaze II
Jeffs or Body Blitz - maybe a coat of both
50/50 wax
Reckon that combo...
Yeh I am going to be using the Menzerna polishes on mine... was still going to go with the EZ Glaze II, body blitz or Jeffs then 50/50. Do you not think the sealant is necessary in this case then? I like getting a lot of protection on the paint even if it means sacrificing looks a little - as it...
Not a fan then Rich?!?
I recommend the Body Blitz sealant though, when you apply it it instantly looks darker than any other sealant I've used and really brings out the flake well. Not sure about the protection though as it hasn't rained for a while! Not that I am complaining....:approve:
I got the $210 package including a set of pads, demo disc and some polish, worked out to about £130 including postage.
Ordered on Sunday so should hopefully arrive today, how long does it normally take 182-Blue?
Cheers
I used the EZ Glaze II with Body Blitz sealant and 50/50 and looks amazing. Got some photos I need to post, but really brought out the flecks well. There are pink flecks in the Pearl Black which I never noticed before. Pure paint p**n!!
LEEDS??! How does it still have wheels at all?? I am moving back to Hyde Park for my final year in September and dreading it. My housemate has (or will have by then) his BRAND new 230 F1 though so hopefully they go for that instead ;)
I have heard its good stuff...
My PC should arrive tomorrow. But haven't ordered a transformer or plug yet, or even the polishes or extra set of 4" pads. So that will be another year then...
There are loads on Kirkstall road... the road Evo etc are on, loads of small traders and cleaners down there. Can't vouch for their work though I'm afraid!
