Fingers crossed. I know the same engine in the jukes have very few problems and many have been tuned much higher than the Clio’s. Ricardo’s clio has a hybrid turbo and has for many miles. It’s just nice to know what issues could arise.

Just out of interest sash, what was the cost of the replacement tcm? I was under the impression and hoping that these cars were pretty bomb proof apart from the battery issues, this is something to keep an eye on! glad your getting yours sorted and hopefully it’s the last of the problems for you!

So I’ve fitted some trophy alloys as I think the diamond cut actually looks good. I painted my rear diffuser black and waiting to be able to do the front blade black too. Also fitted the maxton splitter on the front. Really happy with how it looks now.

not today, but I’ve painted my rear diffuser black and also programmed RS monitor into my car. It’s a gimmick and I’m glad I haven’t paid £175+ for someone else to do it, but it’s nice to have especially for reading boost pressure, temperatures etc.

Just to update this thread, I managed to follow the instructions and coded RS monitor into my car. I wouldn’t say it’s worth the near £200 to have stagex but glad to have it for £10 and many many attempts. @Ol’ Tarby!

I’ve managed since my ghost mod to get to 33mpg and that’s driving it mostly sensibly with the occasion hoon. I have noticed that sport mode doesn’t use more fuel strangely.

Wire wool will also help and won’t damage them. I use it all the time for tips. Wire wool first then autosoll to finish.

I know people have mated the vw 6 speed gearbox to a 182 (I’m sure) so wonder if a dsg could be adapted? Doubt the clio 4 gearbox would mate to the f4r engine. Anything is possible though.

I’m really not sure, just that it was uprated, whatever that means. It’s a guy on the faceache group, but I’m sure that @Ricardos new car was his.

On the reliability side, the juke nismo uses the same engine and those have been tuned big time in America and have mega miles on them, so hopefully that’s a good sign.

I think they cap the torque to keep the box happy but there is a couple running 320 plus hp. Apparently (I think) the same person who created the hybrid turbo is having some updated clutch plates created.
