Fingers crossed the gearbox is made of better stuff than mk3 gearboxes! As above has said they are a getrag box. only usual or common faults are the bottom radiator hose clip failing and the battery throwing issues when dying.

Went to D7R fabrication in Telford who did a ghost mod on my exhaust. Not sure on the actual specifics of what he does, but it has changed the car. Deeper tone and louder when putting your foot down, but liveable day to day! Sounds like an animal now.

Saw a beautiful e30 m3 on the m54 earlier. Looked awesome and was lhd so more than likely genuine.

No it’s ok. I’m going to give them a try at the weekend. I’ve looked and ‘don’t think’ I’ll have to remove the bottom strut bolt so might be ok. I can only try!

Fitted a cup spoiler to her yesterday, not the large one but the smaller one, which I think suits it nicely and finishes off the rear end imo. Very happy with it.

Changed my edc oil today, the old oil was a very dark colour at 67k so well worth doing imo. I used motul dctf oil.

Looks like a turbo 1*2. Even the body kit wouldn’t be bad with decent sized wheels properly spaced.

Fitted a new windscreen wiper mechanism today after the old one started to seize up and while trying to strip it down and grease it up broke the mountings 🤦🏻. Nice to use wipers again!

Hi Rob, car looks lovely and your plans sound brilliant too! a res delete coupled with a 2nd cat delete will open the sound up. a ph2 intake pipe or similar is a good mod as is the cold side pipe replacement. Seeing as your climate is warmer than ours it might be worth changing the cold side...
