I have just found out i can get hold of a set of mk2 ph1 dual optic (sport) headlights for 80£ delivered... Is this a good price??
Cheers all.
P.s i know its only a 1.2 but i gotta put up with it for the rest of uni so i'd like to make it look nice!! (and the standard headlights are just awful)
Two question, wheres the exhaust from and how much did it cost you? :P
Really like it. Needs lowering for sure (but i cant talk)
edit: ignore the question, i really should learn to read the thread before looking at the pretty pictures :P
but not easy to find the answer....
What fuse should be used or my fan in the end of dash fuse box?? (i.e 15a 20a) I asked a local motor factor and not a clue....
I ask this after wondering why my fan has not been kicking in for the two years i have owned the car.... was rather funny when i...
Got a new thermostat coming and the head is coming off monday if there is no visible pipe leaks, took it in this morning and was very helpful, mechanic suspected thermostat could well be stuck open.
I know loads of you Ph2 guys have different aerials but i havent seen any ph1's (that i know of) I remember reading about ph1's being a different fit? This means there is less available?!
Is this just different size thread? If so what am i looking for??
I'm fed up of the javelin hanging off my...
Well its just had head gaskett done, so wouldnt think it would be that head cracked i hope :S
Cheers for the advice, but the problem is it doesnt seem to heat up enough full stop to engage the fan, not even after like 30 minutes or so.... which was why i thought maybe thermostat not working...
It normally does it if you had added your own lights and changed the wiring, moves a little bit, or the connection is bridged by a bit of moisture (could be caused by the cold) and just sets off the rear fog
Brilliant thanks.... I am no mechanic but i thought it could be thermostat being stuck open, from what i've heard, but i wasnt sure why this could be making it drain away slowly, two problems, lucky me! :S Cheers though
Oh forgot to mention...
Thought maybe could be the thermostat staying open?
Or
Maybe something to do with the water pump as this was replaced when the head gasket was done.
Rather stuck though...!!
God, someone asks a questions and he has to get ripped for it... Great first impression.
On a serious note the things that have been mentioned that are worth doing are.... In my opinion of course...
Ph2 rear lights
Colour Code
Some nice alloys, (the 182 wheels on the previous page would do...
You know who you are... :P Please help....
Alright... Problem number 100,000,000 I will explain the situation as best as possible to see if one of you guys can help me...
I have a mk2 ph1 1.2 8v and it had a lot of work done about a month or so ago.... this was clutch and head gasket (not fun)...
Looking really nice, seeing a lot of cool Ph1's today :D although the exhaust does stick out way too far!!! What spoiler is that btw?? Might have to strip mine to get rid of the scroungers at uni!!! haha
Forgot ph2 rear lights, improves the of ph1 10 times over!!!
I have the mk2 ph1, and so far have 17"'s (yes i wish i had gone for 16s), ph2 rear lights and had a nice subtle twin exhaust (but some pikey stole it)
Rest of plans are, :
Ph2 rear bumper, (now sourced)
Colour code side strips...
well the fact that all of your problems are internet related would certainly suggest to me that the 720£ laptop you have infront of you and its the 15 quid a month or whatever you pay for your internet. Maybe worth looking into that rather than the hardware...
How bad is the damage? Just take it to an mot place, claim its been off the road as you've been away? Get them to mot it say tmrw? Then ooops you hit that lampost in two days time??
Or is there something there you cant do?
Hope this kinda helps...
Well to start with you really need an amp.
The amp runs to to head unit and connects via the remote chord (look in your radio manual to find out which one this is (normally blue irrc)) and it also connect directly to your batter to power it. (you can buy a wiring kit...
