LOL. The 197 just didn't excite me... the R27's looked nice though.
The 200 makes you want to drive it like a lunatic all the time. It's like a big RS Twingo with almost infinite grip and huge brakes.
Just found out that they've sold the Nimbus one that I drove twice before ordering mine. Poor...
Tempted by the H&R springs, Jay?
I'm on the fence at the moment. I definitely don't want to go down the coilover route this time but wouldn't mind a 20-30mm drop.
Relatively cheap. But then it's not surprising either... all the belts are right on the from of the block and are easily accessible.
It was more the 'rep' comment I was confused by. Every article I've read in the motoring press has done nothing but praised the 200.
The same can't be said of...
I'd listen to Lee over anyone, and ideally ignore Alan since he doesn't know what he's talking about.
197 - 200 is a huge step. Night and day.
Not marketing.
It didn't feel like a hot hatch. It felt underpowered due to the gearing/torque peak and extra weight over the Mk2.
They corrected both these issues on the 200. It copes much better with it's extra heft.
Brilliant chassis on both though.
I loved my 182 and owned it for five years.
But you've just got to pick the 200.
If you were underwhelmed by the 197 like I was, then try a 200.
It got me to order one.
Stock? lol. You mean stalk.
The button underneath changes settings depending on what function you're currently in.
ie. If you're in the radio, then it changes between tuning functions.
I can't believe you're not driving. Such a honky. I wanted to see the Puma too. :dapprove:
Will there be brew-making facilities on site?
I'll be there regardless. In the 200. I've ordered a 200. I'll have the 200 by then. You'll all see my 200.
