203s works very well on VAG paint work. That, a decent cutting pad and followed up (if required) but some 85RE on a finishing pad, also from Menzerna. Should see you right with a little bit of effort.

As you've mentioned, the White Diamond is a good shout, decent filler glaze and should add that little bit of "something" to your paint. Sealants wise, I tend to find acrylic sealants work the best. I would therefore suggest Chem Guys Blitz Spray or Werkstat Acryllic Jet.

You can spritz a small amount of QD on the pad to reduce the dust, but SRP is quite a dusty product.

All dealers are bad for washing cars. Mine was pretty much pristine until it went into Audi for a few days for an MOT and service. Even though I had specifically told them not to and there were signs all over the car, they washed it and marred it to feck.

I would say if you can afford one, you should buy one, regardless of machine. However, not everyone who has a DA has a PDG... I didn't when I first started out and didn't have any issues. Better safe than sorry, but it is down to personal opinion and circumstance.

Depends on how bad the metal is. Generally when I get a car in, it requires a wash down with APC, de-tarring with Tardis, then fine grades of wirewool with either Autosol or Belgom Alu. Then I tend to use Blackfire Metal Sealant to make it much easier to clean the next time around.
