The issue here fella, is more down to where the swirls came from. If the swirls were still there, it's your polishing technique. If the swirls came after polishing, it could be down to polish residue in the swirls making it look like they had been corrected. If they came after waxing it's due to...

One thing to note in your write up - ITR should be used before claying, otherwise the clay will just get bogged down and dirty with all the tar remaining on the paint.
To further Adam's points, IP 3.02 has quite a long work time, especially with a DA as you just do...
MFs are so cheap these days, even for very good quality items like the Euro MFs, I tend to wash until they look slightly gone and then demote them to dirty jobs.
By the time I'd factored in the cost of washing solutions, water, leccy etc, it just wasn't worth it.
Pads is another matter however!
3M pwns all on the pads IMO. Althought I want to try the HydraTec ones badly.
I've just ordered the glass pads, Richy, and you have no idea how close I was to getting a s**t load more. Must save for... other s**t!!!
Interestingly I had this twice this week... but then thought I was being stupid as it worked a few minutes later... And it only happens in the gym when I've handled it after a workout!
