Mate I was reviewing my working life the other day. Worked out that if I charge my normal rate and did 3 days a week, I would earn the same amount I do now in my "9-5". Maybe a little less, but still, f**king worth it...

The other question is, if it's used for cleaning your car once a week and the occasional other job around the garden, why are you spending upwards of £300? The circa £150 models will suit you down to the ground. I wash 3-4 cars weekly and during my time as a detailer the thing was in use daily...

Karchers over the 3.XX mark can have their motors replaced. I would see what the cost of replacing the motor would be, before looking at another unit. Our Karcher 3 series has been going for 4 years at least. The ones before that were all cheapo ones, so the motors couldn't be replaced.
