green and itg panels seem popular! i know it aint a mk 1 but i had a itg on my 182 and it was a lot better than an open filter for performance not sure how to mod a mk1 airbox but improving the air feed and flow to the box is what you need so perhaps bigger openings and maybe a few drilled...

i rekon it will follow suit tho as in: panel with modified box being better performance wise and open filter more for noise

yer to be fair matey ive never seen breather mods disussed for mk1's :(

mine is -60mm but on 16s it all depends on if you roll the arches or take the arch liners out! u should be ble to go -40mm without doing anything but if you go -60mm you will probably have rubbing issues with the 17s

i dont think they are replacements tho! they fit over the existing cover iirc cos i was gonna get one but wasnt sure how i wud attatch it :)
