The computer can never be completly accurate though can it ? it doesnt know how long your going to be stuck in traffic, or whether your gonna put your foot down.
At best it is an educated guess.

I think I will be speding most of winter trying to change my orange indicator bulbs to silver ones, obviously I better stock up on waterproof plasters first.
They only problem with the superchip is still that it wont take mods into account, its an "off the shelf" item.
Plus the unichip is just a piggyback chip so you can easily put it back to standard if you so wished.
not for the 172s, as the ecu has to carry airbag programming for the extra airbags, climate control etc.
If you want a better one than the r-sport ecu get a unichip, custom mapping which will take any mods into account.

although I thought its legal to carry in the car (with nos sticker or warning sticker) but the illegal bit is actually using the nos in the engine.
so true, I just try and keep it between 70 and 90.. thats the best you can do, my mate didnt believe that I have virtually not touching the pedal when cruising at 70mph, till he had a shot ;)

£400 is a very good price for the 172 ones, I think renault charge over £1000 just for the 172 seat covers, maybe someone can post up a mk2 phase 1 set with the colour logo
Whats everyone moaning about, your getting a better car with the best from every model if you like
Your getting the best bits from the 172 + the best bits from the Cup, and adding some more HP for the same price ?

Yes you can now get the full 3 year warrant by sending off your purchase invoice to renault.
There isnt really any pitfalls, other than the imported 172 dont come with an alarm.
