I had a 1.2 as a courtesy car while mine was into renault, got about 45mpg. Not too bad at all, normally i get ~30+mpg for the 172.

Well I think you will find most people like myself who have the problem dont have ESP as ESP was only introduced in the later mk2 phase 2 models.

A car can still roll when in gear.. but it would have to be near fing vertical as it has to crank the engine over heh, that how you bump start your car. except the ignition isnt on so it wouldnt start. I think the higher the gear the better, 1st is a very short gear so doesnt take as much to...

Dont get 172 badges.. never badge up a car it just looks sad. by all means debage but never badge up. Spray the 1.4s silver for a better effect. See my above comments about the renault sport badge. At the end of the day its your car, but you did ask our opinions.

DONT bother with ramps.. unless you want to rip your front bumper off.. seriously.. I got a set of ramps that my lowered 205 GTi would get up.. the 172 has no chance. ps. just read that you already fitted it.. :oops:

IIRC They are guaranteed for 4-5 years, so if they arent that old do some research and find out for sure. £150 sounds a bit steep for one, I think there was a link posted on here that did them for £70 each.

probably be more reliable though, and a more progressive power delivery.

nah its happend to me too, if you just change quickly when the wheels have started spinnign in a lower gear can keep it going till 5th hehe.. helps if you find a greasy bit of road in the wet too.

You couldnt be more wrong, the demist button is excellent... it directs the air to the window, fires it up to full blast and switches the air-con on, which acts like a dehumidifier. Infact if you have had your aircon on for a while then go back to your car later and dont have it on, chances...
