What he said ^^
Unfortunatly in general you have to sacrafice some ride comfort for handling, although with a harder ride the tyres tend to just let go when corenering hard, instead of a more progressive slide.
Just checking up on my insurance renewal.
25 Years old, 7 points, 5 years NCD for a 2002 Clio 172
£598 Fully Comp with legal protection 200 pound excess ! woop !
Not really an aftermarket option and I doubt you would want it anyway, from what one person on here said it really stopped him enjoying his 172 (and there was no button to switch it off, renault made a few without the switchoff option)
The worst thing renault can say is "We dont know what the fault is".
Good luck getting it fixed. but as paul says the 172 does come with a lumpy idle cause of the wild cams.
Wasnt the original exhaust a one peice but replacements two peice because you couldnt fit a one piece cause of the axle or somthing.
maybe someone can clarify
best bet is replace the pads, could be a faulty caliper but I would do the cheapest things first and replace the pads. But monitor the pad wear and make sure that the pads arent really scrubbing otherwise the disks might heat up too much.
better steering ? you mean better turn in .. woop I will adjust my toe in same result.
Throttle response ? same engine ? one fbw no real difference.
handling ? -3mm and alloys which add 10mm ?
Sorry I didnt make it, I did post a message a couple days before letting you know I wouldnt be able to make it though.
I will pencil in 26th October ! oh and where you met the last time would be easy enough for me.
The damage will depend on revs at the time.. if it was idiling it may not be too bad (still bad though) but if it was at 7250rpm then your probably talking major damage.
