price wasn't too bad to be honest, was around £400 more than the private ones i was looking at so all in all not so bad (there was even one at another main dealer which had nothing on this in terms of condition for the same price! [ to the point that during the test drive we had to stop and we...
you won't get a decent type-r for 5.5k, i was looking at 7k and still found pretty crap ones to be honest, and now i've got the clio i can definitely say, GET A CLIO! :) you won't regret it :)
yea definitely, i was thinking of refurbing them to anthracite, or seeing if i can get some from here, or get some turini's! problem is the cost :)
have seen them near the anthracite as they go that sort've colour when dirty :)
absolutely fantastic, had a 306 1.6 before ( until head gasket went a 2nd time and completely killed it), and briefly had a KA 1.3 while i was waiting to buy this, and i absolutely love it!
been doing alot of miles for me, but enjoying every minute of it!
it's not even the fact that it's so...
Hey,
Just a bit of background on my purchasing anyway before the pictures :)
It was coming up to my 21st birthday in July, and i had been saving like mad for a couple of years (handy student finance when living at home ;) ), and after a friend having a 197, and frantically browsing around and...
just tried it then & warmed up the car to test, much much beefier induction, and i have the stock exhaust with decat (can't mod til my warranty is over), very impressed; though like you said i probably lost a bit of performance but it's worth it i think!
just one final question as i don't want to bring up old threads that don't need to be - if i just unplug the CAF pipe instead of removing the valve (wouldn't want to for warranty etc, and easier etc), this will have the same effect? i saw that perhaps you may lose a bit of power due to warm air...
ahh yea that was it!
so ignoring the pipes part of the post, same still applies, what is it, how do i remove it, and is it safe? :)
edit: now i know what to search for, just ignore this post, as i imagine its been posted a million times :)
Hi,
I saw on a thread (but now i can't find it for the life of me from searching), that some 182/172 users have disconnected one of the pipes on the intake (i think a breather) which apparently gives you alot of induction noise! I just wondered which it was and if anyone has any pics? But more...
i feel exactly the same, and am deeply saddened that the owners could do such things, there are so many nice cars there!
if i knew of an awesome one near me, i would definitely apply for ownership! :)
to do hdr you need multiple photo shots with different levels! (to do it properly anyway)
here's my 2cents for a very very similar image, just not as bright on the grey (as i was bored);
ahh yea good shout, didn't really pay enough attention to that packaging!
by the seems of it, it's also the same bulbs, as on the CBD website it says along the footer that there will be two sidelight bulbs for free, so i assume they just happen to be in the packaging!
had mine done a few weeks ago, only thing came back was cambelt as they werent sure if it was done or not, as i had bought the car recently and this was the first time i'd gone to this Renault dealer (though it had been done!) :)
ahh they look pretty good, will have to wait for a bit if i get those though as they're quite expensive!
don't suppose you know of any lower budget ones ? :)
got mine on the 23rd july (day after my 21st birthday), so only a few months in and i'm absolutely loving it! :)
had a 306 1.6 before, and temporarily a ford KA before this, but all i can say is WOW, lots of fun to be had in it :)
Hey,
I've just managed to change the sidelight bulbs on my 182 (WITH AIRCON!?!?!) which took a while to say the least! They're much better now they're whiter, but i'm also looking for the main headlamp ones, which i believe to be H7's? I just wondered where's the best place to get them, and...
scan are good, but those prices dont seem too good, check overclockers.co.uk for more reasonable prices :)
as said before, i'd go SSD if you can, that'd much improve the editing, and an i3 just doesn't seem worth going for, you'd be better of getting a phenom x6 or something along those lines...
