What you mean the mk1 v6 actually has an engine in it ?? i though it was for posting your mail through the side vents ? they never seem to move very fast do they ?
mate, stick with it.. you WILL get it fixed, I know it really must be taking the enjoyment out of driving it, but just keep handing it back to Renault or complain to customer services, it deffinaly isnt supposed to make that noise.
how come everyone says the clutch is heavy ? wussies.. try driving a 205 GTi with dried out clutch cable and a super heavy clutch, couldnt hold it down for more than 5 seconds at lights cause the ball of your foot got to sore.. thats heavy !
The 172 feels like you arent pressing anything...
ye MSN is crazy for trying to get a username.. in the end you have to be called somthing like _KDF4732248190590183580932098390480932809418943 cause _KDF4732248190590183580932098390480932809418942 is taken.. lol

Well as promised I have updated the uploader for all those who nagged me about it ;) (now on version 2.0 !!)
A few bits to finish (account prefs for example) but its pretty much finished and now allows for
change the gui for easier uploading.

I was teaching my GF to drive in my 172 (£7 for a weeks insurance.. result !)
She found it really easy to drive, mainly because the car is quite controlable when you keep it under 4k rpm.. which she did.
And its harder to stall cause its a bigger engine, of course deisles are ideal for...
Well if he did want a argument it didnt really work (yet)..
Everyone has givin a pretty honest opinion I think and its up to him now to decide.
Yes you can call the mk2 172 a fatty cause its the heaviest of the 3 (mk1 172, mk2 172 and Cup)
In that company yes its heavier, its hardly a...
Hmm people seem to dis s0ny stuff too much on hear.. they are all alpine lovers..
I have owned both sony units and alpine units.. the quality difference is small, and unless you plan on going mega loud (im talking spl comps here) then there really is no difference, the alpine units can...

ARRRGGHH !! NOOOOooooo.....
Not winblows.. tell me not !
ps. Ye I found that I would have had to order everything from USA too, the UK market sux for things like this. Where are you gonna mount the touch screen, or are you gonna get it prof fitted ?
"It is possible to mention that the modification of the discs, forwards and buttocks, is done by Autodynámica."
Yep thats a perfect translation lol..
Hmm, I wonder if he had to remove his air-con.. from what I could tell it didnt say, and the photo of the engine bay is too small to look...
Depending on how long you have the road angel switched off, a cold reboot takes quite a while (normally after 6 hours off) a hot reboot will only take about 30 seconds max, although it does depend on how good the gps system inside the Road Angel is.
Ah excellent, was gonna say I looked into this a while back but didnt find a viable soloution to it other than the circuit at www.dashpc.com
Yes you need vga in otherwise it would look terrible, just make sure you dont put winblows on it ;)
Use gpsdrive for navigation and dashpc for a GUI...
Aha ! nice one.
You can now buy a 1 DIN pc btw.. cant remember where I saw the link but it looked kewl..
Have you solved the startup/shutdown problems yet ?
£1500 would be about right, the reason its a £695 option is cause its easier to have the aircon fitted while the car is getting built.
You could always go to a scrappie and try to recover all the parts for the aircon and get a private garage to retrofit it ? probably your cheapest option...
Auto should set it to the brightest setting as the alpine unit would be recieving 0 volts on its illumination line, when the alpine unit recieves 12v on the line it will activate "night" mode.
I would have to be said that unless you have the latest alpine HU (even then) the Alpine screens are...
Go for the 172, then you have a luxury sports car.. why compromise ? add a sports exhaust and you will gain that 0.1 second.
Plus the normal thickness glass on 172s are handy if you get shot at by an air rifle.. eh ? Lee ?
err sorry pete..
I switched off my auto lights, which you can do by putting it to the acc switch on the ignition then turn the lights switch to side lights, off, then back to side lights again and it will beep.. no more auto lights..
Durrr !
funnily enough the cup has a cup badge on the side pillar..
The Cup was originally only in Blue, but can now be purchased in silver. The cup has different alloys and sits 2mm lower than the 172 (although I doubt you would notice that)
IIRC the Cup has no rear headrests and its a one peice...
