Well whats the problem with using the aircon demister button ?
I mean if it works why change it ?
If you have had the aircon on and then you switch to heat next time you get in they have a tendancy to mist right up because the aircon removes moisture, but just hit the demist button...
Just a quick message to say the uploader will be down for 2 days (sat/sun) this is due to network and electrical upgrades.
Sorry for that but it was long overdue.

"...so its 695 for CC without air-con then ?"<!-- Message body "" -->CC without A/C would be useless.
ye thats what i was trying to get at ...
err it was autoleads stuff from halfords.. i bought two rolls of it at 22.99 each.
Think I will only need one roll though, so I might take it back for a refund.. notice the 4 carpeted lips on the edge of the left hand piece for the right hand piece to sit on.. craftmanship that..

CC will also automatically kick in where as a/c wont.If you want cc (its a good option) then try to get it on the car at the price hes offering you now, that would be a bargain! Tony
I dont understand what you mean ?
If you have CC on...
Finally got round to building my false floor for the 172... results ? not bad I think, plus I can still take the spare wheel out. Its not finshed though as I still need to build a bit to hold the cd changer, dvd navi, control box, inverter, xbox, amp and sub.
here are the pics so far (excuse...
OOOOOHH dont drill holes in the boot.. asking for trouble if you do that.
Build a false floor.. thats what I have just done for my 172, I will post pics up and you can see what its like, I had to take into account the need for access to the spare wheel though.

is that peak watts or RMS watts KDF? as in peak watts/volts or rms watts/volts? just outta curiousity!
Its (power, current etc.) watts !
if its got a 20A fuse in it, keep it at 20A.
I was assuming it would just be running 60W amp inside the stereo but obviously not, put a 20A inline fuse near the battery to be safe.
Well mains electricy is a true sine wave, a car is DC ergo no sine wave, so it needs to be introduced.
basically if you plugged a clock into a modified sine wave inverter it might runs 3 times faster than normal, plugged into a true sine wave inverter it would run normally, there are other...

to pass an mot you need rubber inserts, so i assume if they are for show use only they wont have the rubber inserts
If thats a fact how come 172s dont fail on an MOT ?
my original one was fitted under the passenger seat, but there is a cage that it attached to, which I doubt you will have.
Now I have a new HU and CD changer its in the boot.. but my xbox will probably be going under the passenger seat if I can work out how to get it there.
does anyone actually use the auto lights ? I mean how dumb a sh*t do you have to be to not know when to switch your lights on..
Personnaly I will keep manual control over them.

Tonnes of cups for sale?Get em quick or youll miss out!i see in Parkers used car guide residual prices are already the same for cups and normal 172s - wont be long before 172 is cheaper - limited editions always hold on to their value better...
doesnt need to be a blade fuse, you can put an inline fuse in. (quickblow preferably)
which brings me onto another subject.. there is nothing like a quick blow..
er...
if you cant be bothered working it out thats 5 amp btw... heh..
So you will need a 6amp or slightly above fuse placed close to the battery (there is a reason for placing it close to the battery which I wont go into)
ah okay, if its a 60w alpine then you may have to route it differently, It will probably draw too much current at high volume and blow a fuse in the car.
RE: what fuse you will need
Amps = Watts/Volts
I did all the maths on the power consumption and it worked out that a ps2 (and an xbox for that matter) will need at least a 100w inverter, for every 10w you draw about 1 amp from a car battery.
BUT !
Dont get a 100w invertor, get at least a 150w one.. preferably a 300w from maplins which...
