That's very true too. I think I read on here somewhere that some poor guy came back to his car after leaving his car in a car park whilst shopping, only to find someone had tried to get his wheel off, had removed three nuts and had tried to hack through his locking nut. b******s!
Lmfao @ "Feck with our cars - get 20,000 volts in your ass."
Top class idea! ;)
Steve; I find them hard to get off with the key too, that's even better as far as I am concerned, should definitely stop them getting nicked, although I wouldn't put it passed the little s***s to give my car a...
Owch, that looks nasty! It is fortunate that is was just the wing and the light and 'his' insurance company will have to pay, at least it shouldn't cost you anything as it was his fault. I do feel for you though, it's not nice to have your pride and joy damaged.
I love your wheels by the way...
Yep. My Mums favourite saying used to be , "Just wait until your Father gets home!" that was enough to have me bricking it all day, and it didn't mater how good I was from that saying onwards, I still got it when he came home. lol
I totally agree, it's absolute bollox!
If I had damaged anything when I was a kid, my parents would have been made to pay the bill, I would have got a darn good hiding from my Dad and my pocket money would have been stopped until I had paid my parents back. That defintely would have been enough...
Oh, forgot to say. I told the police I would physically restrain the little gits whilst I called the police for them to come and give him a ticking off. I was told that if I did that I could get done for 'potentail kidnapping'.
Lmfao. Believe me, the very next time I catch the little gits, I will grab one, put him over my knee and give him a damn good slap on his back-side. My arguement to the police will be that, if their parents had given them a few slapped bottoms (before the anti smacking law came in) maybe they...
I understand what you mean totally Darren, and I know that when I get the body kit put on I can get them sorted easily.
It just makes me angry when I hear about someone 'accidently' smacking into someones car and not owning up. It makes me even more angry to now some peope do these things on...
;) @ Steve.
I once saw a 'git' back into someones car in Tescos car park, they put a huge great dent in the rear wing and took off. I took down the make/model and Reg number and stuck a note under the dented cars wipers. Gits!
I echo the 'b******s' sentiment! I have a small trolley dent in the drivers door, and 2 knuckle dents in my bonnet, one of which arrived 2 weeks after I bought my car and the other turned up 3 weeks ago, someone goes past our drive and punches my car on their way past. We also have a baby Clio...
Quick question: If the driver wasn't wearing her seat belt (doesn't actually say in story on that link) will that mean her insurance company can refuse to pay out as she was 'technically' driving her car illegally?
Omg that's awful! I agree that when young people can do daft things, this is a particularly nasty way to learn a lesson though. I really do hope they will all be alright.
Talking about seat belts; I will NEVER go anywhere without mine and refuse to budge my car even an inch until all...
I nearly always go to Kwik Fit, granted their tyres can be more expensive than some other places, but with the branch near us I can 'guarantee' they will do a sopt on job.
I had a similar problem with a screw when I had my 1.4 Clio, they just removed the screw, made the hole slightly bigger...
Well, hope I made the right decision as Hubby has just hit the 'order confirm' button. ;)
Good job there's a 7 day return option (if unused) just in case I get any 'serious' negative feedback on them, but from what I've read they sound perfect for my needs. ~Fingers, legs, arms and toes...
theduckeatspork; I have just checked out the Eibachs that you recommended and they indeed sound 'spot on', and as you also have a 1.6 your feedback on this was music to my ears! My Hubby is now in the process of ordering both the springs and shocks for me. Thanks sooooooo much for that! Nice one...
I have just sent Subway a PM about the sideskirts he's selling. I'm hoping (crosses fingers) that he can confirm they will indeed fit on my car and look right with the front and rear kit I intend to fit.
I'm getting a 'little' excited about kitting my car. I know it's daft, but I'm a female...
I do agree on the front kit, it's probably the one I am going to go for. The rear and sides of that kit are a big 'no no', I am however going to get the 'rear' kit I posted , but have been persuaded to get a very subtle (like the 172 Renault) side kit.
When it comes to 'lowering' I have now...
If you had an older car, I would have said that maybe the lever on the carb where the throttle cable attaches could be bent or sticking,(happened on my old renault 11) on these newer computerised things I haven't got a clue where the darn cable ends up. When I first looked under the bonnet of my...
lol. I got quite freaked out when mine came on all by themselves too, but a quick check of the hand book and I found out they were supposed to do that. I love my auto lights, I s'pose they are more of a gimmick (sp) rather than a help, but I think they are cool all the same.;)
well firstly, thanks, definitely got a result, they took them back and indeed gave me a 'full' refund.
There are 2 points I would like to clear up, firstly; The wheels were 14" 'Steel' wheels and with the correct tires for those wheels they definitely would not fit the 19 ( would have had to...
No, not massive tyres, just standard tyres for that sized wheel. To make the 14" fit I have to have low profile tyres fitted. I already paid well over £200 for the tyres I had fitted (based on the fact Renault man dealer told me they were the right size).
Anyway, since my original post, I...
