    insurance argument

Hmm, well I'm 'middle aged' (was 45 2 weeks ago) just put 16" alloys on my Clio and intend to put kit, exhuast etc on her. Do you think I am going to look stupid too then huh? :p

    IMPORTANT insurance information FAO: EVERYONE

Mine says I can drive any other vehicle belonging to someone else, providing I, A) Have their premission B) The car is already insured by the owner. It covers me for third party only on a vehicle that does not belong to me. Doesn't mention an age limit. I think I pass the over 25 thing anyway.;)

    Started to mod my Clio.

Yes, sounds like you have done extremely well. Good luck to you and hope you carry on enjoying it and stay safe. :D

 s**t that's bad, sorry to hear that. Typical of some Police though.

    Clio crash West Midlands.

Well at least that's one good thing then. The poor guy that had his house smacked into will at least get it repaired.

    Highest Mileage Clio

180k? Wow, that's good going, and still in a sellable conditon too. Nice one!

    Time it took to break

Oh bloody hell Louise. You haven't had much luck at all have you? Motorcyclists can be a right pain in the arse, I have had a couple of near misses myself (not my fault I might add). Stones thrown at your windscreen? The little sh*ts!! Glad you weren't hurt. As for inconsiderate car...

    Started to mod my Clio.

Brand86; I'm not really fussed about re-sale value as I plan to keep her for a good few more years yet, and as for the leather interior, she will have that too soon. ;)

    Started to mod my Clio.

To be honest I don't really use the power my 1.6 has got, so see little point in buying anything with a bigger engine.

    Started to mod my Clio.

Well, being as I am probably abit older than most of you, I have come to the conclusion it is time for me to be sensible now. I have had my sports cars, done the ripping up the tarmac thing, I now just want to settle down with a car that has a little umph (just in case I need it) and one I can...

Aww Louise, that's a real bummer isn't it? Hope you haven't had too much damage done to her.

    Time it took to break

My car is an import, so it didn't come with an alarm. :dapprove: Thank God for Alarm specialists (sp) eh? ;)

Hubby and I also have a little Clio 1.2 Fidji as our little run about. She is 13 years old, done roughly 83k and we paid £475 for her. We've had her roughly 4 months and recently went straight through the mot with no hastles. Hubby has taken her to Suffolk today (2 hours up the motorway from us)...

    B**tards! B**tards!

I can in a way understand it from the Police's point of view, but that doesn't help us really. Getting back to what has just happened to Steves car though, In my opinion there should be cctv cameras in 'all' public car parks (including pubs, restuarants etc) and you should be allowed to use that...

    Time it took to break

It seems (from reading other posts) that many Clios start to cause trouble not long after the 3 year mark and being as mine has only just passed that, looks like I have all that to come. Oh well, that's french cars for you I suppose, just got to love them though, right? ;)

    Time it took to break

Well yeah, that's understandable, I think I would have been none too chuffed either.

11 hours? Blimey, that will take some beating! Could you not have claimed on your insurance for the windscreen, or would that not have been a viable option? I had my present Clio 2 1/2 years before the hazard light swtch broke, nothing major fortunately.

    B**tards! B**tards!

Thanks for that Rex. I honestly did think the Police could do something even though they are minors (well under 16), but every Police officer around here we speak to all say the same thing 'sorry, nothing we can do madam'.

    Started to mod my Clio.

I presume it's best to get it lowered before the kit goes on, saves risking the kit getting damaged. Then once done I can have her booked in for the kit to be fitted and sprayed and other bits colour coded, then I can take her to get her stainless steal 'stealth' exhuast fitted. I sooo hope it...

    Started to mod my Clio.

Thanks, I like the wheels too. If, like you say I decide I don't like it kitted up, it will come straight off and will return to standard. I just decided to spend some money on her as I decided to keep her instead of buying the new clio. I felt that she deserved some attention to make her look...

    B**tards! B**tards!

I think 'he' works, think he's a gardener. I live in Leatherhead, in Surrey. I finally came back to the estate I grew up on 7 years ago, and bought our house so I could be near my Dad. It has always been a nice estate. Most people keep themselves to themselves but are always willing to help if...

    B**tards! B**tards!

I did 'try' to speak to the other little bratts parents, but was promptly told to f**k off! They are a pretty rough family and the rest of us on our estate were not at all chuffed when they arrived. The parents have regular major slanging matches with each other, he hits her, she hits him and...

    B**tards! B**tards!

I can quite honestly understand you taking revenge Rob (not that I would) it's heartbreaking when someone f***s your car up. My Hubby had to tell another young lad off last week for hitting his car with a ball , it was a genuine accident this time though, but the little git didn;t like being...

    B**tards! B**tards!

Because we apparently have a water shortage around our area. All the car washes are closed, except the hand wash just up the road fromus, but even they are not allowed to use their mains supply anymore and have to have water sent in to them, and as I am not sure where they get it from I don;t...

I really want to wash mine, she's soooo grubby now, but we aren't allowed unless it's absolutely needed. :dapprove:

What colour 197 would you have? **Poll added**

Ive gone right off the new clio, including the 197, but I 'spose I wouldn't turn down an Albi blue one. lol
  27. DynamiqueDebz

    B**tards! B**tards!

Aww bloody hell, sorry to hear that barker. Some people really should learn how to handle their cars without bashing into others. I really don't know how some people managed to pass their tests, as it's plainly obvious they just can't drive! I hope you can sort it easily and cheaply. f*****s!!!
  28. DynamiqueDebz

    Started to mod my Clio.

Well D4ve, according to Eibachs site, the pro kit I have ordered will indeed drop her 30mm. I have cheked and double checked that they are the right ones for my 1.6 and although flatly refused to lower her at first, am quite looking forward to it now. I will not however be fitting them myself, I...

    Thumb Grips under warranty?

If this problem is covered by the warranty but the dealer is refusing to fix it, take your complaint to your local 'Officer Of Fair Trading' , if the dealer is indeed responsible for the repair, they will tell you exactly what to say to make them comply. Good Luck! P.s. I did this recently...

    B**tards! B**tards!

Me neither, but that's because people like you and me have a conscience and were brought up to respect the fact that if you want something, you save up or work for it. These little sh*ts take things purely because they want them and know you can't touch them. No respect and no conscience. They...
