Err, I too had the choice, I chose the mk2 172 out of all three.
How on earth could a 172 owner ever be jelous.. ?? that what really pisses me off ?? if I really wanted a Cup (which I dont cause I am happy with my car) I could sell my 172 and buy a brand new Cup ??

climate control
abs !!!!!
thicker glass including a heat reflective sound deadning front windscreen.
Comfier seats (with lumbar adjustments)
softer on the bumps (although not by much)
and loads of other reasons.
I had the aircon on today, actually the climate control automatically ativated it to keep me at my ideal 20 degree temprature.. ahh lovely..
agreed on the wheels and colour.. its nice, also agree on the performance difference being negligable for the amount of toys that your loosing.

Silly question and I think I already know the answer but,
How do you remove the standard renault CD HU from the 172s there are 4 holes which I guess you slide some sort of tool into and then pull it out, I am lacking such tool though.
Can it be removed without the tool or do I have to go see...
Sorry, I dont know where you could get a lead from without actually buying a cd changer. I guess you could phone up Renault, say youve broken you old one how much is a new lead ? worth a try I guess
