I have had the same problem and renault have booked me in for a new battery On start up at garage the revs were going up and down and i had to start mine twice.. Renault mechanic told me unofficially that they had a bad batch of batterrys on 51-02 plated 172s.. It wasnt in the thousands...

I managed to source some carlube triple R,which i believe they use in tvr,lotus and morgan cars.Didnt look too thin and had a nice glow to the colour.. My old oil had just started to tinge a little and i dont like to let it go too dark. ian

Well guys i had the oil done this afternoon by a friend in the business and call me silly but i can feel a difference.There is no difference in performance of course but it just feels smoother and gives a nice clean feel to it. I went for the synthetic in the end and must say that it runs...

Just tell them to carry out the work stated.Not what they want to recomend.Go to a friend to carry out minor jobs that they say are life threatening.The parts for all that would cost no more than £100 so look at the labour charges.. regards ,ian

Cups are already cheaper than standard 172s after they are two years old.I dont see any residuals holding higher than the 172???

Forget the lot if you want grunt..As was said you can actually loose power with induction kits.The only one which promises more grunt is an element replacement.If you want some noise get a back box. The 172 engine bay is so cramped an induction wouldnt be able to breath properly anyway..Dont...

Yep agree,get the panel Its cheaper and you wont really notice much difference from a viper.....exept the price
