A civic type R is deffinatly a match for the 172, but I agree it would be down to driver skill on this one.
Saxo VTS.. nah, no match. I dont class the saxo in the same league as the 172, but I dont knock the Saxo VTS/106 Gti as they are a lot of rocket for your pocket.
ahh is that how you do it, i thought i read somewhere that you had to set it through the stereo ????
I will try the RAID just to see what its like now that I know how to arm/disarm it
Yep its from the Jacki Chan movie who am I, The WHOLE movie is absolute class, and has to be watched.. the fight scenes are funny are fook..
I have a er "backup" of the film on my Xbox.
My old 205 GTi used to do that, under heavy braking the back wheels would lock first, some scary moments of me fishtailing it at the end of motorways.. :o
I think it is what has been said already, the brake bias must be setup wrongly, it is putting too much pressure to the back callipers...
Well unfortunaly I just insured my GF for my 172 (on my insurance :o) and have started giving her lessons, she has not crashed it yet although I have had to shout
"ALOOOOYYYS, OUT A BIT !!!" and number of times
I run a Streaming video server...
I got a 100mbit line and 500GB of space :D including a 10,000rpm Ultra 160 SCSI drive, capable of sustainable transfers of 160MB/s
Sorry came over all geeky there.
torque steer, lol.. it just adds to the fun..
its trying to get traction as you are going round a 90 degree bend at 45mph in second gear and flooring it up to 7250rpm that the scary bit..
Okay some of these may be broadband only.

Em,
Question, your cliosport sticker looks like it has still got the full clear sticky square around it... instead of just the letters. Did you peel the clear square off ?
nah that is well wrong, I have a mk2 172 standard in every respect it does a consistent 0-60 in 6.8 seconds, and that is in the wet loosing tracion in 1st gear.
no danger, either that or they tested a duffer one with only 130bhp at the wheels.
However I would like to add that the RS is 2.0l and turbocharged, I garantee you put a turbo charger in a 172/Cup and the RS will get slaugtered and It will still cost less than the RS.
Quite nice on the outside, absolute cack on the inside, If I had to own one I would strip it down and drive...
I quite believe that the RS is faster than the 172/Cup infact I would be shocked if it wasnt.
Having recently raced a ford focus ST170 I can say that they were also quite fast, although I pulled away steadily from about 40 mph up to 110mph (at which point I thought about my license) by that...
Voyto,
I feel your pain, I had to drive about in a 1.0 Micra for a year before I bought my 172.
Dead reliable cars, they just dont like hills/speedbumps and have the worst handling I have ever seen in a car ever.
