if its a mark II 172 they also have the same fly by wire throttles .. (better not mention that to her eh!) although saying that I have never had a problem with my throttle.

ye for the amount of stuff that you loose on the cup.. aircon climate control half leather/alcantara interior heat reflective window Normal glass (cup has thin glass) ABS Airbags etc.. and for what 2-3 tenths of a second to 60 .. no thanks.. (but then the cup is cheaper)

Agreed, I have a full bike license and have never used it for that reason, one of these days I would race a car (im stupid) and hit some dirt or a drain cover or some oil or basically anything that might make you loose traction on a wheel.

The Mk1 is lighter than the mk2, but the mk2 has a better gearbox IMHO

trust me the scooby driver was trying very hard cause he almost lost it on a corner.. I doubt it was NA cause it had a dump valve on it.

get a multimeter (few quid) measure the voltage accross the battery, then start the car and if the voltage jumps up to over 13 volts then your alternator is fine. let it charge for a bit, then turn the engine off, measure the voltage now.. if its way below 12 volts then its probably some...

My GFs brother has a DD conviction, was quite impressed the way the guy took it so seriously and has never driven his car for about 2 years now.. Still drinks a lot, but never drives his car at all anymore

can honestly say that I have never bean betean by a VW anything.. raced almost every mark of GTi and played with a vr6 but I didnt really think it was a big deal so I never even posted on here..

My old Pug 205 GTi has the biggest bastd of a clutch.. this thing was seriously heavy.. so much so I snapped the clutch cable.
