yeah, well my brake fluid switch isnt even connected (i dont have one), and the handbrake light works as normal (goes off when put handbrake down)....but the mystery is why is the STOP light on with no other lights, very odd
Yeah everything else works functionality wise (revs, speed, fuel, coolant, coolant warning etc), no other warning lights on the dash just STOP illuminated
Ive been through all the pins on the two pages for the clocks pindata and checked everything relevant is connected, but the light is still...
Earthing the last two pins on the small connector turned the ABS, Serv and Handbrake lights off...
Although, the STOP light still remains. I tried earthing a few other pins (brake pad warning light, etc) but nothing seems to turn it off. What could be causing the STOP light to illuminate? There...
dont remember a mk4, lol. i just remember some nob on a mk6 or Mk5 GTI trying it on then cutting a load of people up and failing
was on the way back from salford!
I found a few sizes for my superleggeras online, but when I checked myself with a set of verniers none of the sizes were correct. Turns out they were 67.1mm.
Better just popping a wheel of and checking to be 100% sure!
Ive literally just been into halfrauds and ordered some in, £2 each. Works out cheaper than eBay I found.
Clio is 60.1 inner diameter (center bore), you just need to know what size your wheels center bore is.
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
You need the MK1 boggo spec non-pas mounts for it to fit....so it leaves the 3 holes empty on the front of the block
I *think* a 172 subframe has that hole on the front, but its only a 2 sec job to check
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Would have been nearly £70 for the rubber and bracket, this cost me under a tenner if im counting petrol to and from getting the metal
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
LOL...dont lie, you have gotta admit it fits well ;) just because I didnt buy the rubber and mount from you lol :approve:
Replacement subframe, pah! Il worry about that when it drops off (which it wont!)

Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
As mentioned above, ive been putting together a 5th mount for the front of the engine the past day or two.
This is what a R5 GTX mount looks like when purchased from renault, the rubber is in the bag...
The rubber alone is 47 quid from Renault! Anyway...
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Just been and collected the drivers side 172 hub that I got from D4ve from being machined, will probably put it on later.
Hopefully no more ball-joint issues after this!
Im also in the process of reproducing the Renault 5 GTX front engine mount bracket to...
yes, its only 5 torx screws.....3 along top and two on ends lol.
seats....on the outside, nearest the door, the two bolts holding it to chassis are on top (torx I think), on the inside they are under the car (13mm).....and no you cant lend the jack go and buy one, LOL.
