ye its got sport under the renault badge, but as chavyboy said unless you are in the know its just another pointless badge on the back of a car, until such person in said car applies pressure to thier right foot ;)
My original e-mail to them

Dear Sir/Madam,
I have recently been informed that European law now states that any
imported
car (from within the EU) sold from 2002 onward is now eligible for a 2 year
unlimited warranty.
What documents...
For your information this is the reply from Renault UK to my own e-mail enquiry.

Dear Mr McEwan
Thank you for your recent email.
I can advise you that vehicles that are purchased in 2002 onwards from
outside the UK dealership network...
My 172 dont have "172" badges anywhere on it.
I like it that way too, it suprises people more cause there is only subtle differences between a 172 and a normal clio (skirts, rear disks, alloys etc)
I guess for the 172 the best time to change gear is when it tells you to which happens at about 7000rpm.
I floored the car and was like "ooh i got a pretty flashing green light on me dash" till i remembered it was the gearchange indicator but to be honest in the 172 you hit the limiter in 1st...
Thx Big Bash,
Yep got home fine thx, noticed a couple things missing from the car but no biggie. The centre cap key for removing centre caps off the wheels, and the cassette for the 6 disc changer.
Phoned Renault and they will be able to supply both for pennies . :D
Car is brilliant...

just to add to Beh Hs suggestion.
Take out 1 copy of Yellow pages.
Proceed to phone every company eg glaziers etc. and arrange a time next week with every company at a time you know he will be in.
Make sure you phone about 100+ companys... now sit outside and laugh when a 100+...
as much as I would like to "forget to tell my insurance company"
If I did have to claim in an accident I dont want to risk:
1) Being charged for driving without insurance Including
a) MASSIVE FINE
b) 7+ points on my license
2) Having to pay to repair my own car
3) Having to pay...

(and to send off my cliosport membership fee ;) )
Good Advice Batesyboy, I learned that rather quickly ..
Only probs with inducation and zorst is insurance. I am paying 780 Fully Comp just now, how much do you reckon my insurance would go up if I "upgrade".
Left London at about 16:00...
