yep it deffo sounds like the break pads, get them checked. dont leave it too long cause otherwise you will be forking out for a new set of disks too.

IIRC the front screen on the cup is different, it doesnt have the heat reflective noise reflective part to it.

Done that with my GF she agrees and lurves the 172 interior, although currently i have been drivng about in a 1.0l Micra :oops: Should be quite a bit safer for overtaking, infact i will at last be able to go up hills ;)

:D I like the bit where you say dont drop the sump plug into the oil tray. Been there, done that.. and yes an arm covered in old warm oil was messy, but kinda nice .. erm nevermind..

only happend to me once in an old astra, my petrol level sender thingy had sunk so it only showed a half tank when it had just been filled up. eg. use half a tank and it showed empty.. caused a 5 mile taleback on a dual carrageway during rush hour.. ooops.. :oops:

either your 172 is knacked or the 205 was modded, pug 205 1.9 GTi is 7.8 seconds 0-60 although having owned 2 205 GTis I can vouch for the handling on the twisties, In the 2 years of ownership I NEVER once managed to get the tyres to let go. You may say I wasnt trying that hard but believe...
