IIRC it is to make sure that that item has been checked by renault. Most of my engine bay has blue markings on major parts.

If you are transmitting the music so much of the quality is lost. Dependant on the car that you have it is worth speaking to Florida Daz as he was selling an Aux cable that is compatible with a lot of the clio range.

But I'm looking at 500 quid Dan, a lot of money just for a phone. Even if I sell my brand new replacement Storm (which is surprisingly working very well :S) then that would only be circa 200 quid towards a new one!
