Anybody had and experiance with New Turtle wax Ice Wax and Detailer

Age has nothing to do with it, Megs and AG are years older than turtle wax etc. However, this stuff is only good for those that one a quick and cheap method of covering their car in wax. If you are serious about getting a decent finish, I wouldn't bother.

    headlight restoration/refurb

Machine polisher with Menz IP will do it. If they are really bad you can use something like 1500 or 2000 grit wet and dry paper.

    faded 197 splittler, help!

Sorry but isn't that carbon fibre/lacquered? If so, polishing is required.

Lol. Point in using a snow foam if you are just going to use a sponge?? edit; that sounds like a nasty comment, was meant to be a joke :)

    Meg f1 detail - what a fooking nightmare. (56k . . . pfffft)

Looking great Paul, a lot of effort has gone in, very good results considering. Can't believe a; how bad the paint was and b; how much harder it was to get good results than the LY :S I tried my hand on Naith's meg, didn't find it too hard! Thoughts on the R222? P21s went on my windows and...

    The Monaco Swirlbus...

Looks good fella. One point Trev mate, who is the lad doing it? As he hadn't washed the wheels before the correction, nor has he taped up the plastics so I can guarantee rub marks in all of the plastics and rubbers on your car (just look at the picture where he is using a 6-7" pad around the...

    Capsicum paint correction

The back end looked dull at the back, like it hadn't been lacquered, got to it with the PC and it has been, just left what looks like ingrained red paint dust on it. Some came off with the claying work as well. Took from 11.30-4.30pm with the PC going flat out.

    Capsicum paint correction

Very nice to meet Jonno off of the forum, popped down at ten this morning to have his paint corrected. Have to say, bloody nice colour!! Makes me think that my next car may well be something similar, it does look fantastic when clean!! No major troubles with this car, although I am certain...

    paint correction

I agree that there are people springing up all over the place, presuming it is something that they can pick up and use for other people's cars. I would never pretend to be anything more than an amateur, but when it comes to results, I feel that I can create a decent service for those with clio...

    paint correction

Just a quick point (again, as with your post, not causing and argument), I can't see why people would want to go to amateurs over a pro, even if the cost was considerably lower. How long had the guy been in the business? As it does seem quite strange that he could be out done by amateurs; surely...

that is very interesting, dad and I were sat round eating dinner talking about this. I am covered to run a business under his public liability insurance. As is my sister for her make up artist business. However, I do this detailing as a hobby and make sure that every customer understands this. I...
