Another very good piece of advice, that Stephen told me not too long ago. However, I can't remember the last time I dropped a piece of clay . . . but a good idea all the same.
Just to point out Charlie, you do not "buff off" after you clay. There can sometime be small pieces of clay on the paint work/other grime. You must jet wash, then wash thoroughly again, then dry.

Oh and sealent is to do exactly that, (as you said) seal the paint work...
