James, your car is looking awesome again, love it! Some really nice updates, engine is looking sweet too!
As I was discussing with Tom recently, I'll be needing to arrange a trip over to JMS-Tuning soon. Need a few things doing, and have a couple of additions too. Hopefully, I'll be tracking...
Really nice flamer mate! Splitter and white wheels look great, not 100% on the stickers in general but they do at least suit the look of your car.
What splitter is it?
And are those 16" wheels?
Prob best checking the Nikon website and downloading the D40 manual. I know a D60 raw file is around 10MB. That's a 10MP camera, so I have no idea if its sensible to think around 6MB for a D40.
Raw is as you see it, no processing what so ever, just all the pure detail the camera captures and...
I don't know the answer, but someone on here suggested to me that it's better to get a few smaller cards just incase you lose one/lose your camera/card malfunction etc you won't lose all your pics. I went for a couple of 4GBs.
I really like the Lupo GTI, funky looking little car. Some nice pics there.
New wheels look cracking, look forward to seeing pics of those once fitted.
I believe you can run it on your main line, although after a certain number of bells the fax will cut in so if you don't pick up quickly, there'll be a nice dial tone noise for the caller. I think you can change how long it rings before this though. Obviously, sending and receiving faxes uses...
I found the iso bar bolts loosened easily, then became tough and difficult to turn. Stopped for a sec and then just put a load of effort in and once it turned a bit, rest was easy.
These are the perfect size IMO. Fill the plate gap on the bumper fully and don't overhang. That's what I'm going for v. soon.
Mint tow eyes too lads. Silver really suits the cup and Monaco tow on Monaco looks awesome!
No idea on grime getting through onto the rear window, the holes aren't that big.
Yeah bar is useless as Skinny said. You don't need it unless you've got kiddie seats anyway, so no point putting it back if you don't have any seats to put the kiddie seats on. I don't know about the rust issue...
Yeah they do. But I never really though it was an issue. You do head every tiny stone being chucked onto the underside though, but the holes make my KTEC stealth sound even better.
As said, the bit you sit on folds forwards and you give it a jig and and a pull and the metal brackets will come out of the holes.
The backs need unscrewing. I'm not sure if you HAVE to remove the ISO bar but its far easier. The ISO bar is the black thing behind the seats. Pull the plastic...
Mk1 in white? Did they ever do that for the lower models?
If that 2nd pic at top of page 2 is Monaco, then defo do it. I'm still not 100% on the gold wheels with it though. That's the only thing with Monaco blue is that I'm not convinced any colour but silver and amphasite work with it. White...
For the D40 to autofocus with other lenses, they need to have an inbuilt autofocus-motor in them, Nikon's range are called AF-S.
Sigma and Tamron both do a range as well, you can find which ones on their websites, although most online shops will say if they can autofocus with the D40 or not...
I was thinking of getting white wheels too. Mainly for track use though.
What's best to protect them with? I'm worried of having excessive brake dust on them.
If its a month old send it back. Opening it may void your warranty so becareful and check first IMO.
BTW, my earthing point is one of the rear seat belt bolts. Never had any issues with it and its nicely hiden from view too.
It sounds good mate. Is it a permanent move for you or just temporary? I wouldn't move there till I'm a bit older so not too worried about night life. Generally, it was all just so nice when I went to Zurich. A really nice change to the UK. And was impressed by the fact that so many people have...
