Yeah that's what I will aiming for if its in good condition. Just got a quote from Rentech for £700-750 for 72k full service and cambelt. Wouldn't be able to book it in for a while so would mean watching it on the drive for 2weeks as I wont be driving it until cambelt is changed and a day off...

Thanks Warren. I was always going ph1 until the last week or two, the only ph1 within reasonable distance needs wings respraying and has no service history. Only considering ph2s as there is a bit more choice. From your experience, would I feel unhappy in a ph2? Its still a great car ya?

Could get away with it looking great on pro-lines since they only give a small drop. What do YOU want?? ps. get orange indicators to match!

The extras of the ph2 are appealing, but I've never had them so not so bothered, all I want is AC so ph1 is ok. What makes the ph1 better to drive? Is it the weight difference?

2 pack of 501 bulbs at Halfords are about £2.50. Cheaper to buy on the net I think, but I needed mine fore next day MOT. Why would the garage pay for a new bulb anyway? Wear and tear? It's like asking for a new set of tyres cos yours are worn in the warranty period lol

My gearstick moved on my mk1 and moves on my mk2 every time I press on the acceleration, like a back and forth moving, think its normal.

Good upgrade mate, suprising just how much better it looks. Once colour coded, it'll look great. I nearly did this last year but decided to wait another year for a 172 (now 21). BTW, what extras did it have over your old car? Was it an RT? Edit: £1500! BARGAIN!

Your car looks absolutely stunning THE WAY IT IS!!! The black of the wheels and side strips with the yellow looks the doggy's doo daas, but I think a black roof (even CF) will be overkill. One of the best ph1s I've seen mate!
