That's a stonking price! Best quote I've had is £950 FC for a 172 at 21, 3NCB, 3 points, 1 fault and 1 non fault accident. Ferrari F355 for £2k fully comp doesn't really say good value for the 172 lol

As long as you have a copy of your Windows Key (its normally on a sticker you put on your machine) then you can use anyones copy of the Windows CD. Just as long as you get the right version, eg. XP Home, XP Professional, and then put your key in in reinstall.

Go to an independant mate, mine cost me £170 for full cambelt change and another £170 for full 36k service (which I'd recommend since you dont know if its been done or not). That was my mk2 ph1 1998 R reg 1.4 RT.
