When I turn my steering wheel you can her my top mounts moving as the squeek I really need some bnew ones or is there some other way to eliminate this ?
if you've removed the suspension recently they might squeek, mine did when got sent the wrong coilovers made the big mistake of takin all the front suspension off n then realising that the bolt spacing was wrong
Yep I lowered it last week it was squeeking before hand anyway. 150 a side it takes like 5 mins to remove I didn't even take my wheels off to lower my car. Does any1 know a good place to get some solid top mounts
My thoughts exactly, but I don't know how much Compbrake charge for there kit. But again I didn't want to pay full price for them.
How much does it cost to have a full set up of adjustable topmounts that you're having done JD? I didn't want them set up other than standard so fitting an adjustable kit wasn't worth for me it in my opinion
Mine are being setup at Demon Tweaks. It costs 60 quid for full camber, castor and tracking to be done. The top mounts were fitted by Birchdown. Think it is about an hour to fit, but my car was in for a service with them as well, so now idea on pricing.
Agree with your comment BIFCAIDS. But I'm really suprised at how cheap JD can get a full set up for, thats a result!!!
If thats the case, and if you can get an adjustable set cheaper than a non adjustable set like I got from Compbrake, then it might be worth gettin them as tou can always sell them on later or put them onto a RS clio should he ever change car
All the same mate, no difference in bolt size, that is only for the hubs when ordering coil overs. HOWEVER, you will need them machining if you lower in coilies as these require a different size (I actually don't know if it is the top hat for the spring, or some other part!)
I think I shall look into gettin the adjustable ast ones even tho it is a diesel I'm hpoing to track it at frenc car show and maybe a few after that I've lowered it on eibachs got strut brace front and back and uprated my brakes in and when jms tuning get back to me hopefully a remap
