Jenko, I know exactly what you mean. I wanted to mod my 1.4 (75bhp too cos its 8v) but the cost of modding for more power is expenisive for such tiny gain. I've decided that I'm just going to leave my car standard and save some of the money I would have spent modding it for a better car or on...
SBV116 is right, they look much better on beemers but i think they look ok on our car. Takes a lil getting used but nice nice buy. From the night pic tho, think it would be better if your fogs were smaller and so don't look bigger than the angel eyes imho.
Turns out the problem was the starter motor connection....cos its underneath the engine near the exhaust or something, its gets really dirty and now should need replacing very soon.....more costs....
Thanks a lot mate! Will def give it a wobble when I get to my car! I hope thats what it is! If it is, is that just because of the weather or will it need replacing or cleaning or something?
My car won't even tick over and can't even jump start it from another car!
Battery died on me on friday (hadn't driven for a week but started 1st time but had to park up 2 mins later and then would not start again) but jump started it fine from another car, then drove it for 1.5 hrs and was...
You can't save messages onto your memory card and its the same problem with the w800 firmware.
There is a program that will save all of your messages in html tho called float's mobile agents. And it'll backup your phonebook and do other things too. Can't remember the site but google it.
He was suppose to make some stunt driver game or something but that all fell through a year or 2 ago and nothing since I dont think. Seems to be nothing on google at all about GP5 :( I kno wat you mean about GP3 tho, but its nice to see some mega advances in GP4.
Where do you download your mods from? Never bothered doing that with GP4. But can never play much cos only got my laptop at uni and its by far not good enough :(
I'm big F1 fan so Grand Prix 4 for me, its an old season now (2001 I think) but is still unbeatable against anything thing else for a pure F1 simulation. Needs a hard-core pc to run, think only todays top will run it at its best!
That was the original plan when I bought....don't think I can wait another 2/3yrs tho...save up some my loan towards new car for next summer maybe....hmmmm....maybe 1.6 Clio...
Subtle mods is all im after Kenny.
I did want a 3 door, but this was jus too good an offer to give up at the time. I wouldn't do anthing major, only alloys and lowering cosmetically, surely not much diff btwn that and a 3 door lowered with alloys?
Biggest dilema is that I go to uni in...
Well 15s and tyres would cost me around £300, say £100 for springs....I'm not very able mechanically with cars so would need springs fitted....people want £100+ for this and its £90 per mod for insurance.
Saving up for faster car is what I have been trying to do...but spent a tad more at uni...
Dont induction kits make smaller engines less powerful?
How about a panel filter and a cold air feed for some added oomph?
Hmmmm....maybe buying a new car is the only way to make a decent gain.......????
What about only half filling the tank? Surely that'll make a noticeable weight difference, about 20kgs or so.....
Downside is back end will become even lighter....
Can't really be dealing with the hassle of selling up and making sure the new car is in good order. Mine's low mileage, spent money on big service a yr ago and timing belt, and I know its all working good order.
Guessing Weight loss is the way...
Guessin not much to do on a budget that'll...
Hi boys and girls...
I've had my 1.4 RT for a year now and have done nothing to it accept change my headunit and fit my sub.
I've been thinking about lowering it 35/40mm (so just need springs and not whole kit) with 15s. But this would work out around £700 which is way too much atm.
So...
Oh yh i know that lol Ment is it safe in the car? Don't go that fast much cos I'm normally just on B roads.
Sw1: Does it really feel that bad? Mine really never felt like it was going anywhere....only thing that scares me are my tyres, budget goodyear and michelin, rated fine for the speed...
I've taken my lil 1.4 to 110 many times and its felt pretty safe....make sure tyres are in good nick before tho jus to be safe.
I'm not a hooligan at those speeds but am I taking too many chances for my car?
I've had three cars and each has had less power than the previous - THAT'S DEPRESSING! :(
My lil 1.4 seemed mega slow for 1st 6 months, then suddenly seemed to have some life...maybe it needed time to get used to my style of driving instead of a london runabout...
Are the gearboxes that...
Spot on!
I overtook a golf once cos he was pissing about in his diesel and he decided to follow me to my mates house! But i delibirately went down the round road and did a quick turn-around and waited to watch him turn around and drive back to where ever he was going. Think he knew we were...
