Raed the build threads mate. Not an easy conversion but does away with the engine driven pump as saxo uses an electric pump to power the hydralic rack (cup race cars ran similar system i think).
Can be turned off and on via a switch, loads of benifits to it. Feels nice too
Pas, brake fluid, heater hoses. plus the crank sensor wires are bolted to the block near there, didnt even entertain getting it out that way.
Be nice to see you chap, more than welcome to enjoy the hospitality. we got quite a crowd gonna be there
Fitted a replacement starter motor today, thanks to Whiteley (again) Bit of a fiddle, took the exhaust maifold off to make it easier but then had to drop the o/s steering arm to get the thing out. Must be a nightmare on a road car.
Found the problem with the old one. 2 bolts missing from the...
Yea trackday tyres effectively. Not alowed slicks. Just found my setup notes. our current setup is rears are 40-60newton progressive springs and 100newton fronts
From memory 100newton front 60 newton rear. That info isnt really alot of use to anyone tho as the car is setup for a specific set of circunstances. track only, they tyres were on etc
When we had the road/trackday car we used to run 80 newton all round (about 460lbs)
Did you ask what they were?
If you asked for track setup then its gonna be stiff isnt it :S
Its fine on the road by the way. Driven and been in Dan Freemans car plenty of times.
As said we should be racing there but untill the calendar comes out we wont know for sure. Our club has put on a few races there this year but not our series.
Im looking forward to going too, last year it was a bit of a mare. The car setup was way off and we had a coolant leak in quali. We know Oulton quite well, probably better than any other track we race on so looking forward to giving it a good go now the car works well.
Just saying that for what they cost they are pretty good. Not sure on dust mate, everything gets washed after 70mins of running as the car is generaly covered in all sorts, flys, rubber etc
