all a matter of opinion what tyres are best. just make sure you get quality brand stuff. DONT get cheap tyres, steer clear of yokahama prada if they are just for the road.

Yes they are mine.
Personaly I like the way they drive. Ive driven two 1*2's fitted with them. Ive only driven my car a short distance with them on and they are not set up in anyway. Loads of weird wheel angles atm. Booked in for a full setup on the 1st.

Too hard for B roads, too soft for track imo. Waste of time having them. Thinking back now my car was better on the apex springs and 100k shocks.

^ so from what you are saying the speedo sensor is a 5volt but F0xy is running 12v ign feed to it?
If thats it them take a 5volt feed from one of the oter sensors. TPS etc
If I get a chance tomorrow i'll check mine to see if its 12v or 5 volt if needed

Probably not much help but anyway
You would need to look at a wiring diagram to find out what sensors/components that fuse feeds. The trace back from there to check if the wiring is chaffed anywhere.
As for the immobiliser ive seen this on 1.2's when the battery has gone flat, they wont...
worth checking the timing by the sounds of it.
You wont need the tools to do a quick check. Just take the blanking caps out and line up the tdc mark on the gearbox/flywheel. If its out more than a little you will see it by eye.
As you say if its holding a presur at a certain ponit then maybe...
