Knackered battery in iPhone - Chance of replacement?

Yeah I'd go for an Apple one every time, way, way too many cheapo dodgy batteries out there.

    Clio 200 akrapovic

I love the crackle on the overrun, first exhaust I've ever had which could do that properly without also being a droning, intrusive POS all the rest of the time!

Knackered battery in iPhone - Chance of replacement?

Depends how many charge cycles it's been through, if it's premature failure then they're usually pretty good in the apple stores about just replacing it. Even at Apple battery replacement is only £60. https://www.apple.com/uk/batteries/service-and-recycling/

    My F4Rt Clio 200

Quick update - with the shitty weather and the ABS issue the 200 has been mostly hibernating in the garage hooked up to the CTEK. It's been up to my mechanic to get the ABS fixed and the bad news is that it's not the sensor, it looks like the ABS loom has failed. Apparently that's not...

Build a PC (Desktop)... £450-£500 Challenge.

Heh, fair enough. Never had a problem myself but I know their customer service can be a bit iffy. http://www.dell.com/uk/p/inspiron-3847-desktop/pd?oc=cd84701&model_id=inspiron-3847-desktop - just add an SSD, gets you to your spec for about £400 all in. These days at this end of the market...

Build a PC (Desktop)... £450-£500 Challenge.

£300 to £400 tops should see you with something pre-built, you might have to add a couple of components to match the spec but no big deal. Check out eBuyer - e.g. http://www.ebuyer.com/700271-lenovo-thinkcentre-e73-sff-desktop-10aw009quk I wouldn't discount AMD completely, they're massively...

    R888 - Mileage?

AD08R is what I'd do too if I could only run one set of wheels on a 182, they're a good compromise tyre. They're not as outright grippy on track as the 888 but they're not far off and they're much better for road use in dodgy weather. The NS2-R's are apparently in the same ballpark if they're...

    Clio 200 ABS wiring diagram/pinout

Guess that's a no then, so has anyone bought one of those wiring diagram discs from eBay? I've seen a few which claim to have pinouts on them and they're not that expensive, but I don't fancy dropping £15 on one if it's going to be a load of useless old guff......

Track only tyres - R888 or the new AR-1

There is very little info out there as they are so new. The only test data I've seen puts them up with the Dunlop DZ03G on lap time but better for subjective feel. That should put them ahead of the R888, but it's just from a random internet post so isn't verified.

    new nankang track tyres

Soft too, tread wear number is 80. No "street" compound with this one ;) Definitely targeting the proper semi-slick track market, it being road legal is just a bonus really. Be interesting to see how it stands up against the top end track tyres like the A048.

    new nankang track tyres

Interesting. Their website is a bit buggered but does give a bit more info. http://www.nankangtyre.co.uk/performance/motorsport/ar-1 Looks like they're going after the high end trackday market now, if they're as price/performance competitive as the NS2-R they could be quite something.

IIRC 185 is about the widest you can go on them.

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

It varies all over the shop and sometimes from day to day TBH, mytyres, tyreleader, camskill, oponeo, even Demon Tweaks can have some good deals from time to time (OK, not that often, but it happens ;) ) Price range is anywhere from circa £150 a corner down to about £70 a corner depending on...

    Clio 200 ABS wiring diagram/pinout

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the 200 ABS system, ideally the whole lot but specifically looking for the connections from the ABS loom to the front right sensor. Trying to trace a fault, sensor has been replaced so the next step is the wiring.

Recommend me a code reader for Renault specific codes?

Should do yep, it says it's for all Renault cars and it does have Clio II in the menu where you pick from the Renault models. This is a link to where I got it from, just be aware that when it arrives the unit will be in German and you'll need to change the language - just a quick google to...

    My F4Rt Clio 200

First track day was a bit of a mixed bag, I've currently got a failed ABS sensor which meant all the driver aids were offline. I wasn't able to get it fixed before the TD so that wasn't exactly ideal first time out in an unfamiliar car on a very cold and greasy Silverstone. I kept it pointing...

Recommend me a code reader for Renault specific codes?

I bought an i907 in the end and it does exactly what it says on the tin, pretty pleased with it all in all. Seems well made, comes in a decent carry case, reads the Renualt specific codes that my boggo ODBII reader couldn't. Cost me £77 delivered from a German eBay seller and once I'd switched...

What have you done to your car today ???

Fitted the CTEK battery charger/conditioner to keep the battery topped up. Nice bit of kit with the "comfort connector" thing making it really easy to connect and disconnect, very impressed so far.

    PS3s vs AD08Rs on track

No worries there, in cold weather you can actually feel them coming up to temperature and offering more grip. You do need to be a bit cautious with them when they're cold, they're not bad by any means but you won't get the performance you're used to from them until they've warmed up a bit.

Recommend me a code reader for Renault specific codes?

I found a video online showing the CarSoft reading the Renault-specific "DF" fault codes so unless anyone knows of a cheaper option I'll probably get it :)

    PS3s vs AD08Rs on track

AD08R is fine in the wet, it doesn't like deep standing water at all but other than that I never had an issue with it.

Recommend me a code reader for Renault specific codes?

I don't want a CLIP because that means carrying a laptop around with me too, I'm after a handheld code reader that can be part of an in-car toolkit but which can read Renault specific codes.

    PS3s vs AD08Rs on track

I've driven both on track, the AD08R is night and day better than the PS3 on track. As has already been said though, one is a road tyre and one is a track tyre so you'd hope it would be that way round really :)
