How do I find out if my processor meets a game's requirements ?

I've had the same PC for about four years, haven't had to upgrade a thing. PC gaming hasn't really moved on that much in terms of power needs recently, although that's about to change with 4k gaming and the next gen consoles. 3Gb doesn't really mean much in terms of graphics cards, exactly what...

How do I find out if my processor meets a game's requirements ?

It can be very difficult because technology changes so much between generations. It gets even worse with some of the AMD stuff because their names are even more random than Intel's. Easiest way is usually just to google it or go to www.cpubenchmark.net and use their comparison charts, it's a...

Opinions please on getting a new diesel Clio to replace my 172

Can get a brand new one with 5.9% APR PCP for £12,700 through a broker (drive the deal). Would be worth comparing against your current deal.

Opinions please on getting a new diesel Clio to replace my 172

Hard to know if that's a good deal or not without knowing the deposit, the interest rate and the final payment. Four year PCP's can work out quite expensive because you pay interest on the balloon/final payment right up until the end. If you're flexible on make and model you can find some good...

The Fatty's KTEC alternative induction setup that works just as well!

You can get to it by removing the wheel arch liner too, but it's fiddly.

87.5 drive by which is pretty low. Also it's one strike and you're out. Goddamn NIMBYs :(

No problem at Bedford at all for me, but if you were already right on the limit thanks to a noisy exhaust then it won't help.

What have you done to your car today ???

Bent the passenger side bumper hanger to stop it rubbing under hard cornering on track. Was all pleased with myself right up until the point where the jacking point slipped off the pad and the outer sill dropped onto the jack. s**t, s**t, shittity s**t. That'll teach me to be a lazy sod and...

    Fibre Broadbrand

http://www.cliosport.net/threads/virgin-media-mates-rates.782249/ Drop this guy a PM. I'm not sure if I should post the exact deal as he didn't mention exactly what it was in his thread but it definitely isn't shabby. 200Meg BB and a nice TV channel bundle for only a shade more than I was...

    Fibre Broadbrand

It's pretty much just a commodity now to be honest, I've been with PN for over a decade and have been very happy with them, but I'm moving to VM at the end of the month because I got a "mates rates" deal that was too good to pass up from a member on here. Really it's luck of the draw as to...

    Mazda RX-8 231 on eBay

I'm the same height, but have relatively short legs and a long body. I find in a lot of cars that even with the seat as low as it will go I'm out of headroom, especially if there's a sunroof. :(

    Mazda RX-8 231 on eBay

For £700 I'm not surprised! I don't fit in the damn things and I'm still tempted to make an offer on it!

They only throttle it when the network is under load. I've had some massive torrent speeds out of them. http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/speed_guide/traffic_management.shtml

They should come pre-oiled. You can get a cleaning kit for when they get dirty. http://ramair-filters.co.uk/motorsport-accessories/air-filter-cleaning-kit-oil-cleaner.html

    2015 MacBook?

Have you tried the keyboard? I had a quick go on one and really didn't like the feel of it, the key travel is incredibly short. The rest of it is great though.

What are you doing to your track car over Winter?

Seems I'm now fitting lightweight door cards front and rear. Really must stay out of the group buys part of the forum......

    Ktec re-trimmed steering wheel

Yeah you can swap the cruise buttons and wiring over pretty easily. It's a bit of a faff but it's not hard to do if you take your time.

What are you doing to your track car over Winter?

Completely agree, I know I can probably tackle most things myself given the time, space and tools. Problem is I tend not to have any of those three :D

    iPhone 6S

If you go into the battery option in settings it will tell you what's been using the battery for the last 24 hours or 7 days. Might be you have an app on there which is eating the battery. In other news another five phones arrived at work today. All 64Gb ones, for the slightly-less-senior...

All of a sudden I don't feel so bad about the amount I spent on my car this year :D

What are you doing to your track car over Winter?

New pair of front tyres, probably new front discs as mine are now ever-so-slightly warped, try to adjust the exhaust so it doesn't scrape on speed humps, sort out the front bumper hangers so they don't rub in hard cornering. So basically, nothing exciting :( My mechanic does keep pinging me...

What have you done to your car today ???

Got it out of the garage and gave it a quick wash. Remembered exactly why I should always wash the car shortly after a track day and not leave it mouldering in the garage for two months. Bloody squished bugs!! Now off for a drive :)

    iPhone 6S

Five shiny new 6S arrived here today. All of them were the 128Gb versions that the senior managers have decided they must have. Those of us who get the 16Gb versions can only watch and wait for O2 to pull their fingers out of their collective arses...... s**t.

We've got about 30 coming to the company, but the provider will only ship them in batches of five to "manage demand", so no idea when I'll actually get mine. First world problems eh? ;)

    Bye Bye Skoda, Hello GT86.

Last TD I was at there was a lightly modded 86 there and it looked a hell of a lot of fun. Put some grippier rubber on it and it can carry some very impressive cornering speeds, although obviously you won't have the tail out nearly as much :) Had a chat with the owner and they were absolutely...

Cloud storage - Who to use? 1TB+

None of the cloud providers really offer protection from data loss, you need to move up to more expensive business grade services for that. They're not backed up so any data that is deleted or lost from the cloud service is gone. A big USB disk kept at work/relatives/friends and brought home...

Cloud storage - Who to use? 1TB+

Yep Office 365 is the way to go, it's actually unlimited cloud storage space now but you have to apply for it. Uploads are (deliberately) slow however so yes it will take a long time to transfer a TB.
