If you're fitting it yourself, Paul... remember that factory OE systems are in one single piece.
It'll need cutting after the beam to get it out without removing the bumper.
Water temp means bugger all from cold start really.
Oil takes at least four times longer to come up to full operating temperature. Longer than most people think. RS Clios have a soft limiter of 6800rpm until the engine's fully up to temperature.
I doubt it. They're all pre-fabricated.
JP Exhausts (Yozzasport fabricators) are removing my centre box for £60. It's just awkward for me to get over there as they only work Monday to Friday. :dapprove:
You probably have a vacuum leak somewhere. That's the most common cause.
Have you re-connected your breather?
Did you torque down all the bolts? Did you use a new gasket when you re-fitted the plenum?
As soon as i saw the budget, i knew the Maxogen fanboys would be out! ;)
Four ton for a carbon fibre watering can!
I'd scrape a bit more, buy a Milltek exhaust and some Eibach Sportlines.
Awesome, as ever matey. :approve:
It's perfect as it is, leave it at that.
As for the next car, don't bother with the LCR... they're quite possibly the dullest performance car i've ever driven. :( No engine note, no character and it's got too many doors, as you said.
Nice Coupe. 160bhp you say? B16 motor?
As for the Clio, i'd only recommend you go so far... it gets into silly money for not much gain after that.
Exhaust
Decat
Sealed IK
Matched inlets
Remap
That'll see a comfortable 190bhp. And i'd leave it there. The routes after than are to stay N/A...
I've decided on the Alpine 9886-R head unit, standard Cabasse speakers and that Alpine SWD 2000 that Tom posted. I chose that sub over a cheaper one, as i've decided to keep the OE speakers.
Any thoughts on that setup? Will i see any real benefit from changing the front speakers?
I'll be...
Yeah, that's the one. It's the block connector on the side of the TB.
Try cleaning/securing that... if it's thrown up a fault code about it too, it certainly looks dodgy. :(
